Celebration DVD (1998) Full Frame; Subtitled
Live At The Royal Albert Hall review Thomas Vinterberg's contribution to the Dogma 95 collective is an electrifying achievement, driven by powerhouse acting and hand-held digital camera work so realistic that one might forget they're watching a feature film. Friends and family gather to pay tribute to Helge on his sixtieth birthday, but when it's time for the eldest son, Christian, to give the opening toast, the fireworks begin. At times hysterical, at times tragic and heartbreaking, this is a film that has the ability to single-handedly reaffirm one's faith in cinema. Inspiring and brilliant. Winner of the Jury Prize at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.

Never On Sunday (1960) DVD (2007)
Import
Live At The Royal Albert Hall film NTSC/Region 0. Nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Actress, Director and Original Screenplay, and featuring the Oscar-winning song "Never on Sunday," this "racy, arty comedy"(The Hollywood Reporter) is as intoxicating as fine Greek wine...and a "rambunctious" (Time) delight! Glasses are smashing, fingers are snapping and everyone's dancing to the sultry music of the bouzoukies! It's just another glorious moment in the carefree world of Illia (Melina Mercouri), Greece's most radiant lady of the night. Sensuous Illia adores her life, and every man in her seaport paradise adores her. But when Homer (Jules Dassin), a stuffy American intellectual, sails into town and tries to reform her, Illia shows him that she's one free spirit who's happy with her wild life and not about to be tamed. *1960: Original Song (won), Costume Design.

Mado DVD (1976) Widescreen
Live At The Royal Albert Hall video Michel Piccoli plays Simon, a French businessman reluctantly venturing into middle age. As he deals with his own midlife crisis, Simon becomes virtually oblivious to the social changes around him. The businessman tries to counter advancing age with an increased sex life, but finds that women aren't the same compliant creatures he remembers from his youth. Though the material is rife with opportunities for "radical" camerawork, director Claude Sautet chooses an austere, near-classic cinematic style, allowing us to concentrate more on the people in front of the camera rather than the person behind it. Featured in the cast of MADO is actress Romy Schneider, a Sautet favorite.
A prostitute is the common denominator in a middle-aged businessman's land swindle. Stars Michel Piccoli, Ottavia Piccolo, Jacques Dutronc
