The 22 cuts on this collection all come from the years 1939-1942, a period during which jazz and popular music were still intertwined in a way that benefited both immensely. While Crosby could stroll over the edge of sentiment with the best of them--aided and abetted by strings, choruses, and the like--the tunes here for the most part maintain a lithe, snappy spirit thanks to an assortment of Dixieland- and swing-minded accompanists.
Several tracks feature the Woody Herman band and lesser-known bands like the Victor ...

I Am Who I Am songs
$13.89 The Street Pharmacy originally came into existence back in 2000 when two natural enemies of the Welland Wild became friends. Nate Triano and Ryan Guay were scheduled to fight each other in the legendary battle of Welland Catholic grade schools but instead of fists and blood, these two good ol' Catholic school boys decided they would be better off shoulder tapping in front of the Beer Store for some booze and smokes. While waiting anxiously for a sympathetic adult to purchase them some 40s, a discussion was initiated by Guay to start a kick ass band. Triano thought it was a great idea but there was only one problem - Nate didn't know how to play an instrument - only ladies. A few days later, after a long lecture on the intricacies of picking up women was given by Triano, Guay slapped a left handed Fender Stratocaster into Triano's hands and before they knew it, their first band "South Paw" was born. In their high school years, these two left handed guitar junkies cultivated a plethora of tunes and released 4 track recordings such as "Live From Guay's Basement". Even though these two played in several different bands throughout their high school career, Guay and Triano's friendship and dedication to song writing always remained a constant variable in their weekends filled with partying. In 2004, the Street Pharmacy as we presently know it to be, began to take shape with the introduction of Brandon "Zeek" Ventresca on the bass. Songs were written, shows were played and beer was consumed but sadly, it was all put on hold for the "real world" when these three cats were shipped off to three different universities. In the meantime, Guay decided to keep the band going with a rotating door of different members going under the name of "Uphoria". After he became ill with a combination of the chicken pox, brain swelling and insanity, new material was spawned, a few line-up changes were made and the Street Pharmacy was back in action. In 2006, Guay and Triano quickly headed into the studio with drummer Josh Learn and bassist Jesse Aubertin to record what would become their first full length record "Self-Prescribed Feelgood" in a mere 37.5 hours. Before the record was released in August of 2006, drummer extraordinaire Danial Fretz jumped on the Street Pharmacy bandwagon. With Danial also came the re- introduction of Brandon and the band hasn't looked back since. This Reggae- Rock foursome has played shows relentlessly all across Ontario and has sold over 500 copies of their first record Self-Prescribed Feelgood. The summer of 07 found them working with Toronto based producer Adam Tune (Afflatus, These Three Cities) on their second full length record entitled "Free Delivery" which was released independently ...
