Moxie Retrospective CD

It's really a very simple plan for us. Guitars, bass, drums, with vocals. MOXIE is a collective group of musicians that want to escape the hype of MTV bands and Corporate Radio and retain the edge and grit that makes independent bands great. Sure, don’t get us wrong, money and fame are great, but who wants to write music on someone else’s terms. We know that we can't change the world, but at least we can create something we like and hope that you enjoy it as well. MOXIE is not a band without turmoil, drama and hostile exits. In the early stages of the bands humble history, there has always been the core of the band of Roger and Shane. The guitarist and drummer have been playing together for about 12 years and always wanted to get a rock band that just….Rocks! But finding a good singer was the hardest task of all and after 3 different singers and 158 auditions later, the task seemed to never end.Malena was in Nashville doing her country music with a team of writers and hired musicians doing one showcase after another. But something was blowing back west and Malena found herself in Southern California looking to start something along the lines of what she wanted to do for herself, “just rock” under her breath when asked. When Roger heard Malena’s MP3, he knew that he had fund that diamond in the rough, it just needed to be kicked around the garage and molded together with the music.Don was the last to join MOXIE and helped sparked the bands engine to get really creative and start playing with an indie Ramones like edge. With Don taking over the low end and having a strong backing vocal, things really started to pick up. It has not been an easy road for MOXIE, but it has its rewards and we are in control of the future. For those of you who like what we are doing, we salute you and for those of you that put us down, well this scrappy band has spunk and we’ll be back for another round.MOXIE!
