What's The Science: Elevation album
$12.19 Donuts was made on a hospital bed and in a home studio, on a stripped-down setup with a stack of vinyl. Released on its maker's 32nd birthday, three days before he passed away, the album has a resonance deeper than anyone could've hoped for or even imagined. Some who were close to Dilla have ...

| | Luke Mitchell High Expectations CD (2008)
What's The Science: Elevation songs
$12.69 Luke Mitchell is a 17 year old songwriter from South Carolina. He currently resides in Hilton Head Island, and records at Elevated Basement Studios in Savannah, GA. Luke has been described as a songwriter way beyond his years. After just completing his first album, he is already looking forward to recording another with long time producer, Kevin Rose. Luke will soon be attending Berklee College of Music to go after his dreams of being a producer, and Music Business major. He has been compared to Johhny Cash, Tom Petty, Brian Wilson, and Bob Dylan by professors at Berklee. Jack Sherman, a veteran guitar player who has played with the likes of Bob Dylan, John Hiatt, Tonio K, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more, happily agreed to sign on for the the "High Expectations" project. Sherman said when the two got together, it didnât sound like âa 17-year-old and a 52-year-old playing. We were just two guys playing rock ânâ roll.âTo Sherman, Mitchell is aunique breed of young musicians, who cling to the purityof music that was once considered rebellious. "True rock ânâroll isnât something that can be found in a classroom, he says; itâs what happens when the guitar is your constant companion and the lyrics reflect real life",Sherman says. And he thinks Mitchell fits the bill. Peter Flynn from "The South Magazine" commented, "Luke offers a mature, analog rock sound that is both honest and musically intriguing, while still tinged with teenage innocence". Peter Flynn ended his review by stating, "High Expectations is surely just the first step in what ...
| | Greg Stier Stier,Greg Vol. 1-Catalogue Tapes CD (2008)
What's The Science: Elevation album
$10.15 In 1984 Greg and I decided to make sure weâd have a recording of every song he had written from when he wrote his first song in 1969 to his most recent to date. We recorded them in chronological order. We present them here in alphabetical order to mix things up a bit for variety. The Catalogue Tapes Vol. 1 thru 9 are all available now. We hope you enjoy. Russell Calabrese Engineer/Producer March 2008 What you, the listener, will hear are the songs exactly the way they were first imagined and then catalogued, with no arrangements or production, just vocal/word and acoustic guitar. The styles varied as we went from song to song and I truly never thought that they would ever be used as anything but documentation, much less entertainment. But amazingly, they still stand, and they do tell some cool stories. Not every one is a home run, by any means, but please remember the name of ...
