Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Jennifer Aniston may get top billing in this romantic comedy, but MANAGEMENT belongs to Steve Zahn. The often goofy, always likable actor plays Mike Cranshaw, a man with little ambition but lots of heart who works at his parents’ motel in small-town Arizona. When paint-saleswoman Sue Claussen (Aniston) stops at the inn, Mike immediately plots an awkward plan to seduce her. Things go better than either of them would have guessed, but Sue still leaves for her home in Maryland. Mike impulsively follows her east, beginning an uncomfortable but heartfelt courtship that takes the road less traveled. Sue’s move from Maryland to Washington does little to deter Mike, but the reappearance of her ex-boyfriend, ex-punk Jango (Woody Harrelson), could throw him off course.
MANAGEMENT balances its star power (A-list actress Aniston) with its indie roots (theatrical distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films) to make a movie that doesn’t fit the rubric of either genre. It’s too quirky for a studio film, but it’s sweet enough that it shouldn’t scare away any fans of Aniston’s work in FRIENDS and HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. She’s more in the territory of THE GOOD GIRL and FRIENDS WITH MONEY here, and Sue is a complicated part that Aniston pulls off. In his other roles, Zahn often labors in the background and steals scenes from actors with higher billing, but MANAGEMENT is indisputably a leading role for the actor. His Mike commits acts bordering on criminal (or at least crazy) in his cross-country pursuit of Sue, but thanks to Zahn’s performance, it’s hard not to feel devoted to his character and to understand Sue’s (reluctant) attraction. Fans of the cringe-worthy humor of comedies like THE OFFICE will enjoy squirming through this unlikely romance. Management DVD Jennifer Aniston (Marley & Me, Office Space) and Steve Zahn (Sunshine Cleaning, Saving Silverman) star in this "rare romantic comedy" (Los Angeles Times) that's bursting with originality, humor and sweetness. It's lust at first sight for laid-back motel night manager Mike (Zahn) when Sue (Aniston), an uptight sales rep, checks in. Convinced that Sue is his dream girl, Mike shakes up his slacker life in an outrageous pursuit across the country. But can he steal her away from her hot-tempered boyfriend (Woody Harrelson, No Country for Old Men)? Both Mike and Sue must go on their own twisted journeys to find out if what they really need is each other.

The grisly and debauched film PATHOLOGY is a juiced-up medical thriller that plays like FLATLINERS with a mean streak and a broken moral compass. Writers Mark Nelvedine and Brian Taylor have created a premise allowing for CSI-like forensics along with heaps of sex and violence, truly making the most of the film's R-rating. A high-end exploitation film with good performances, PATHOLOGY is strong enough for horror fans and should go down smoothly for non-squeamish viewers with a taste for the dark side.
Gifted med student Ted Grey (Milo Ventimiglia, HEROES) arrives at a major Washington, D.C., as an intern, where he is met with suspicion and resentment by the tightly knit group of fellow young pathologists-in-training. Soon, though, Ted is accepted into their circle---where they each take turns committing a murder so that the others may prove their mettle by figuring out the cause of death and celebrate with drug-fueled orgies among the dead bodies in the hospital. Things change for Ted, though, when his law student fiancée, Gwen (Alyssa Milano), moves to the city and helps to scare him straight. Scott Prendergast makes his feature-film debut as an actor, director, and writer with the quirky black comedy KABLUEY. Prendergast stars as Salman, a ne'er-do-well with no money and no place to live. He moves in with his sister-in-law, Leslie (Lisa Kudrow), promising to take care of her kids while she works; her husband (his brother), a member of the National Guard, is still in Iraq, his tour extended yet again. Unfortunately for Salman, his nephews, Lincoln (Landon Henninger) and Cameron (Cameron Wofford), are unholy, unstoppable terrors. Wanting him to get back on his own two feet, Leslie finds Salman a job at her very strange, hilariously absurd company, BlueNexion, where Salman must get inside a big blue costume and hand out flyers in the middle of a nearly deserted highway. But when he finds out a little too much about Leslie, he is put into an awkward situation that he's not sure he can get out of easily. Prendergast excels in the role of sad-sack Salman; whether he's sweating inside his costume, listening to an annoying chatterbox on the bus, or getting dinner ready for the kids, his deadpan, pathetically funny look is reminiscent of Buster Keaton's. Kudrow is in fine form as Leslie, a troubled mother who seems fed up with her life. The strong supporting cast also includes Conchata Ferrell as Salman's perpetually screaming loudmouthed boss, Angela Sarafyan as a weird grocery-store clerk, and Teri Garr as a somewhat deranged woman who lost her savings with BlueNexion and takes it out on the company's big blue mascot. Roddy Bottum's charming score keeps things moving at just the right pace. KABLUEY is a charming, offbeat look at life during wartime in America, seen from a unique perspective.
