Kristin Davis makes her film debut in this slasher gorefest. Five teenagers investigate an abandoned mental hospital and hook up with an all-girl punk band. But the party is spoiled when the teens realize they are not alone. 'The Surgeon,' a disfigured killer who was thought to be dead 10 years ago, still inhabits the hospital and puts his autopsy tools to good use - stalking and killing the kids, one by one. Patty Mullen and Ruth Collins costars in this film by Richard Friedman. This breast-and-blood-filled horror extravaganza features a Penthouse "Pet of the Year," a Playboy centerfold, and a pre-fame Kristin Davis (SEX AND THE CITY). Doom Asylum Reviews: "...[An] effective satire of horror films....The young cast is energetic..."

| | Danzig Lost Tracks Of CDs (2007)
Doom Asylum film
$22.69 It may surprise some to find that Glenn Danzig turned 53 in 2008, but with a career that reaches back to the late '70s, including pioneering acts such as the Misfits and Samhain, he's been in the public eye for a long time. His greatest commercial success, however, has come with his namesake band, and with eight full-length albums to his credit, Danzig has left numerous quality songs on the cutting room floor. THE LOST TRACKS OF DANZIG aims to fix that. A two-disc set made up of cast-offs from every Danzig album, it's a comprehensive alternate history of this seminal band. Leathery blues-metal ("When Death Had No Name" ) and sadistic garage-fuzz ("Lick The Blood Off My Hands") represent various facets of Danzig's sound, but the real treat here is the 1950s balladry of "Cold, Cold Rain," a popular live standard finally getting a release. Here we go, the collection the die-hard Glen Danzig fans have been waiting for. Or were they? This double-disc collects 26 rarities by Danzig (though the first couple were written while he was still waving the Samhain banner). They are far from "lost" tracks, since he knew where they were all the time. There is something here that makes this collection a bit disingenuous from the start: since many of these cuts weren't finished in time for the original recordings they were to be included on, they were completed specifically for inclusion on this set. Danzig claims in his liners that he added "...new and extra guitars, bass, vocals, keyboards and percussion..." In other words, most of these tunes were little more than demos that have now been reworked. Still others were cuts that the Danzig band played live but never got around to putting on record for one reason or another. Music aside, ...

Doom Asylum review
$12.99 Black Mass was a truly satanic nightclub that existed for just over a year and was banned from 2 venues before it even began. It opened its doors on the last Sunday of each month where its eclectic members would be treated to a range of performances that were sometimes bloody, often blasphemous, very sexual, and occasionally dangerous - but never dull. ...
