Amparo Product Description
On this 2008 follow-up to their TWO WORLDS outing, old friends Lee Ritenour (guitar) and Dave Grusin (piano) reunite for another album that delicately fuses their smooth-jazz tendencies with a classical sensibility. Also returning from TWO WORLDS is guest vocalist Renee Fleming, who collaborates with Ritenour, Grusin, and trumpeter Chris Botti on the stately "Scherzano Sul Tuo Volto." Other high-profile musicians that stop by AMPARO include pop/rock icon James Taylor, who sits in on the serene "Since I First Saw Your Face," and violinist Joshua Bell, who elevates a dreamy take on Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Olha Maria (Amparo)," making this a star-studded classical crossover collection.

| A great album This is a great follow-up to Lee and Dave's previous album Two Worlds. For two great jazzmen to play classical material like this displays their excellent musical abilities. By jimmyjames543 (Somerset, England) |
