20 Years Up In This Game 1988-2008 album
$9.59 Lou Ephire: Hello BurgexmuloBurgexMulo: Hello! Miss ?LE: Miss Lou EphireLE: I'm here today to allow your fans to get to know you better, so first of all let me thank you for being hereBM: The pleasure is all mineLE: You have produced your first solo instrumental album, what were you doing artistically before this album?BM: Before this album I was essentially a group musician, but having always written, composed and arranged, I guess it was always in the making. The beginning of the album is a reference to my first group. The guitarist of this group gave us the first impetus and formed the band from a group of friends around him, although he never played. His studies took him away and we lost our leader before he ever started. The first track ('Dans les allees du L' - 'in the alleys of L') is so named because he ended a letter in response to the dispatch of our first recording: 'The cassette has been copied many a time, continue, continue and you won't get lost in the alleys of L!' - L being the initial of the name of the group!(long past!).At the same time, I joined a big band, another kind of music, another environment. It was during rehearsals of this band that I met a guitarist and a drummer with whom I got together with later, a career started in February and ended in June of the same year! With an appearance at the Bourges Spring Festival during that time! I continued to work as a duo with the singer of that group and we signed for two titles with an independent label. I worked then for Donna Sarah, Axel Page and others. After a long break, I decided to put together some of the many ideas that I had accumulated and made this album. LE: Why did you choose a album cover of such! dazzling colours?BM: The cover is very much inspired by comic annual by Placid and Muzo Poche (n° 49). I adore these little books that I read as a child during the long summer holidays. I learnt to read with comic strips, it was the only reading I could absorb. No doubt it's because of that that I do instrumentals! (laughs). Lyrics in the style of 'Plop! Plop!' or 'No Plop! No Plop! Would certainly be interesting! The titles of other tracks on the album are puns relating to these comics. I adapted the games to my own context as a mono-maniac bassist. A friend who is a graphic designer put my ideas onto paper and I like the results. LE: What are your current projects? A second album?BM: Yes. I'm working on several tracks simultaneously. I'll work in the same way I always do - bit of a melody or bass line onto which I add other tracks one at a time, but always keeping in mind the depth of sound and the ...

20 Years Up In This Game 1988-2008 music CDs
$9.35 Hidden deep in the golden plains of Kansas lies a rock & roll machine unlike anything the world has ever seen. 10 Sugar Charlie was assembled in the fall of 2001 for one single purpose; to conquer the rock & roll world! Captained by the charming and effervescent Rachel Prochaska and armed with beauty, brawn, and brains, 10 Sugar Charlie is poised to launch a massive world wide attack. Their weapons of choice: juicy melodic hooks, ballistic guitars, an explosive rhythm section, and lots and lots of sex appeal? Their plan of attack: fire round after round of punk fueled, pop styled, rock radio hits. Their objective: rock & roll world domination! Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, 10 Sugar Charlie's debut album entitled End of the World is a culmination of five years of hard work for the band. XSC, as their fans have affectionately tagged them, initially began as a songwriting collaboration between Rachel Prochaska and Benjamin Mattson. 'We knew we ...
