I Hope You Take The Time To Listen To All My Songs,At Least For 30 Seconds Or So, They All Have A Differant Style To Them So I Think Everybody Mite Enjoy At Least One Of Them, Feel My Heartbeat Was A Song I Wrote Back In The 1980's, I Didn't Know Too Many Cover Tunes One Day When I Was Play'n My Guitar And Singing For A Friends Graduation Party, I Was Standing UpThere In Frant Of Everybody Not Knowing What To Do Next, I Already Sang All The Cover Tunes I Knew, Then All The Sudden BOOM !!! It Just Came Out, As If I Was Sining The Sone All My Life. So I Kept Going Singing Out One After Another. My Best FriendJenny Came Up To Me And Said I Didn't Know You Had Origanal Songs And I SaidMe Neither !!! The Next Day I Got Up ,Grabbed A Pen And Paper To Try To Write DownThe Lyrics . I Totaly Forgot Them. A Few Days Later I Had A Dream About The SongIn The Middle Of The Night Got Up And Wrote Out The Wards As If Someone Was Telling Them To Me. And Sense That Day A Lot Of My Songs Came To Me That Way ! I Have Hundreds Of Songs Id Like To Share With The world Some Day That I Have Written OverThe Years, Rock, Country, Blues, Eazy Listning, Even A Few Rap Songs. Writting To Me Comes Natural Now Just Like Riding A Bike. Music Is On My Mind And In My HeartAll Day Every Day. People Ask Me When Ride'n In My Car Why I Don't Have The Raido OnIf I'm So In To Music. It's Because I Have Music In My Mind All The Time. I Here Music In My MindWether It's My Songs Or Cover Tunes, Or A Song I'm Going To Be Writting. ALL THE TIME !!!When I Meet New People The Way I Remember Them Is By Music. Wether It's A Song That WasPlay'n In The Background Or A Song In My Head. When I Was In Grade School I Was All C's D's And E's . Cause The Only Thing On My Mind Was Play'n The Guitar And Singing. However I Was WayToo Shy Back Then To Sing In Front Of People Other Then My Family, I Took All The SingingClasses I Could , I'd Sit In The Back So No One Could Here Me . I Couldn't Waite To Get Into The Fifth Grade Because That's When I Could Get Into Band Class. I Wannted To Play The Tronbone !!!! However I Got Rejected Bridgeport School Band TeacherSaid I Had No Talent. I Was Devistated ! That Was The Only Thing I Was Living For Was Music !!!How Could I Not Have Talent ??? Back In 1992 I Went To Nashville Tnn, I Met Johnny Cash And Played Some Of My Songs ForHis Producer . He Was Cool About The Hole Thing. I Knocked On The Back Door, A Man InA Cowboy Hat answerd , I Asked For the Man In Charg. They All Laghed For A Minute Then Invited Me In Then A Man Came Up To Me With A Big White Cowboy Hat On. And Said I'm The One !!I Told Him I Was From Saginaw Michigan And I'm A Song Writter / Singer And Would Like ToKnow If You'd Listen To A Few Of My Songs And Tell Me What You Think ????We Went Up Staires To His Office , I Played A Few Of My Songs, He Said ,....Your Family, Your Friends And Your Girlfriend Probubly Likes Your Songs , However !!I Don't Think The Public Would As Much !!! He Told Me I Needed To Think More Of WhatThe Public Would Like To here. Although He Did Say One Of My Songs Could Make TheGirls Cry . So Anyways We Went Back Down Stairs And I Got To Meet All The Other Guy's And Johnny Cash And His Daughter. They Were Both Doing A Christmas Album In The StudioAnd I Got To Wach For A Wile. It Was All Totaly Cool !!!!I Stayed In Tnn. For A Few Years, Play'n N Singing In The Bars. Setting In With some AlsomeBands. I wrote A Lot Of Songs When I Was Down There I'd Like To Eaither Record Or Sell WhatEver Comes First. Thank You, John Carl.
| | Ladies And Gentlemen... Michael Jovovich CD (2006)
Albertine songs
$16.19 When I first started this project, I couldn't wait for the end result- the CD you are about to listen to. After 9 months of planning, countless frantic phone calls and a few sleepless nights, I realized that the joy is not in the destination, but in the journey itself. It helps to believe that the energy you put into any project will bear fruit in some way. That's what I keep telling myself anyway...There are no mistakes in the song selection on this disc- some have waited a long time, while others danced in at the last minuteto make their presence known. "There's a Boat That's Leaving Soon" has been with me for some twenty years or more- a "goodsing" as we say- while "She Moved Through the Fair" is fairly new. Coupled with Fred Hellerman's "With This Ring" (a world premiere- he writes with a sly grin...)- it perfectly describes two sides of one story. "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" has been with me from my Philadelphia summer theatre days- filed away in my memory bank for future use. "Sara Lee" is a reminder of days auditioning in New York- it's just fun to sing. And then there is "Yard Sale"... I first heard the song- strangely enough- in a black corvette at the Jersey shore. My brother knew that I collected songs, and told me that I had to hear this one. The power of the song stayed with me for a very long time, as is seen by the audience reaction every time I sing it. "Here's That Rainy Day" is a great old torch song, and "Where've You Been" is one of my favorites in this line up. "Tonight at Eight/ Madeleine" is a tongue twisting, gut busting, blue in the face kind of number- of my own design (self inflicted pain is the worst!), followed by a song that has been tutored all around the world- "Danny Boy". The final song "What a Wonderful Pal You Have Been" is more family than friend. Written by my grandfather in 1929- for my grandmother- ...
