(1 Customer Review)
Reggie and the Full Effect leader James Dewees must have had a particularly unhappy stay in New York City, especially in Brooklyn. The songs on the atypically introspective and somber LAST STOP: CRAPPY TOWN are named after various subway stops/lines in the metropolis, with each recalling their respective memories or feelings. Songs such as "F" and "L" drape the subway platforms in a red metalcore haze, straight from Dewees's old band, Coalesce, while "Lorimer Street" is a late night piano lament perfect for that long, lonesome wait for a train that's never coming.
Reggie and the Full Effect: Cory White (guitar); Paul Grey (bass guitar); Billy Friday Johnson (drums).

Audio Mixer: Sean Beavan.Alternative Press (p.168) - "'Smith & 9th' is a textured pop gem that wouldn't offend indie-tronica snobs; 'R' sounds like a second cousin to MCR's 'Helena'....It's a quantum leap for Dewees." Last Stop: Crappy Town album
$13.85 BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
After the runaway success of his debut INCOGNEGRO, Ludacris answered demand for a follow-up with BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME, his Def Jam South debut, which features many of the same cuts as the former album, plus three new songs. Here Ludacris continues his mission to get bodies shaking, both down South in his hometown of Atlanta, and beyond.
The remix to his hit single, "What's Your Fantasy," features two of the sassiest girls in hip-hop, Foxy Brown and Trina. "Southern Hospitality," and "Phat Rabbit," give hip-hop a taste of what Ludacris has got cooking for his next outing.
When Def Jam signed Ludacris in 2000, the Atlanta rapper had already released a regionally successful independent album (Incognegro) with a hot single ("What's Your Fantasy"). So rather than send Ludacris back into the studio to record a follow-up album, Def Jam chose to repackage Incognegro as Back for the First Time (the title a play on the re-released ...

Last Stop: Crappy Town songs
$15.55 Reigning kings of the early-2000s metal resurgence, Atlanta's Mastodon expertly blended vintage speed-metal riffage, stoner rock's sludgy power, and prog's vision and scope on 2004's acclaimed LEVIATHAN. The band returns even stronger on their 2006 major label debut, BLOOD MOUNTAIN. The quartet's playing remains unquestionably tight, as fierce solos overlay colossal riffs, which are anchored by a rhythm section that is fluid when necessary (as on the ambient prog-metal of "Sleeping Giant") ...

Last Stop: Crappy Town music CDs
$11.29 As a continuation of Gear Fab's trawl through the backwaters of the '60s American teen movement, new series Psychedelic States, rather like AIP's mammoth High in the Mid Sixties, focuses on regional band scenes. This, the first volume, investigates mid- to late-'60s music from Florida, collecting together the area's movers and shakers -- many of which have never been compiled. And with 28 songs that take in a huge array of styles, the venture is for the main part very successful. The Canadian Rogues' Northwest punk sound and the Shades' far more polished pop style show that in Florida it ...
