Discovery Channel - Human Body: Pushing The Limits DVD You've never seen the HUMAN BODY like this before. In this groundbreaking series, we push the human form to its extremes, capturing both the power and the poetry. You will be surprised and even shocked as stunning CGI effects and the latest in cutting-edge photography reveal the body's inner and outer workings in vivid detail.
SIGHT Sight is the king of the senses; more than 80 percent of what we know of the world comes through our eyes. Experience one of the body's most critical and fascinating components from the inside out.
STRENGTH The human body is engineered for strength, power and endurance. Bone is as sturdy as concrete but flexible enough to resist breaking. It's even light enough to allow us to be quicker off the mark than a racehorse.
SENSATION Less than one twentieth of an inch below the surface of the skin are the ultra-sensitive "antennae" that allow us to sense the world around us. This vital layer is the gateway to the original information superhighway -- the nervous system.
BRAIN POWER The driving force behind every one of us is the most powerful organ in the natural world: the human brain. A central processing unit that generates as many electrical impulses in a single day as all the telephones in the world put together.

$8.05 Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band: Bob Seger (vocals, guitar); Drew Abbott (guitar); Alto Reed (saxophone); Chris Campbell (bass); David Teegarden (drums, percussion).
After several straight-ahead rock releases helped establish Bob Seger as one of America's top rockers in the late '70s, he opened up the next decade on a quieter note, 1980's AGAINST THE WIND. Another big hit, WIND finds Seger at his most reflective, with ballads and country-influenced compositions making up most of the album.
The best examples of Seger's new '80s direction can be sampled in the album's best cut, the heartfelt title track. Other highlights included the ballads "Shinin' Brightly" and "No ...

Discovery Channel - Human Body: Pushing The Limits movie DVD
$10.39 America's most incendiary filmmaker, Michael Moore, returned in 2007 with this health-care-industry exposé. SICKO tackles material as controversial as the topics explored in Moore's other films, yet does so in a way that places the focus on ordinary Americans affected by the nation's health-care crisis. After providing some historical background on how our nation's medical care system became so ravaged and unfair, Moore interviews a series of individuals and families who have had their lives all but destroyed by the denial of care in the service of profit. While there are two sides to the gun-control debate and even a legitimate discourse for how to best wage the war on terror, it's simply impossible to justify how a baby girl can wind up dead because her mother's health insurance wasn't accepted at a nearby hospital. Moore smartly allows this and other stories to be told with little or no interference, conjuring strong feelings of empathy, rage, and deep sadness.
Of course, SICKO isn't a PBS documentary, ...
