Soundtrack English This overheated melodrama tells the story of a proud slave-owning family in the antebellum South and their eventual descent into adultery, incest, and sexual congress with those of other races.  DEEP MOVIE
Ken Norton (former heavy weight champion boxer) did a ok job in this "DEEP MOVIE" of the south along w/the other cast memebers

Good Cinematography
Excellent digital and audio copy with the deep and shocking look into plantation life; this copy is just as I remembered viewing it in the theaters of downtown Chicago. Being a avid of Mason, this is James Mason looking his worst and portraying the dramatic land owner.

I always thought that Mandingo was a great movie to watch. It keeps your interest, but it didn't have a pleasant ending.

Very authentic movie, the sets, costumes, lighting, and acting. Ken Norton was excellent as "Mede", as was Susan George and James Mason. It's just a shame this movie isn't on DVD.
