Purchase In Your Eyes CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Shakira She Wolf CD (2009)
In Your Eyes
$11.18 Last time around, Shakira touched upon so many styles she couldn't be contained on one album, splitting Oral Fixation in two. This time, she focuses on one sound only: a pulsating electro-disco that crosses all boundaries and welcomes all nationalities. Such concentration behooves Shakira, freeing her to release her inner She Wolf, a wild wacko who's as coo coo as she is carnal. And for as sexy as Shakira is -- crucially, her music is sexy too -- what really gives She Wolf its bite is her inspired nuttiness, how she laments that Matt Damon's not meant for her, and wishes her ex-lover and his new girl a horrible vacation where the room smells and the toilet doesn't flush. "Darling, it is no joke, this is lycanthropy," she sings on the title track with no small trace of humor, and this blend of cheerful weirdness and sick beats -- often supplied by the Neptunes, delivering tough, sensual rhythms in a way they haven't in a long time, but also ...

In Your Eyes
$26.05 Although the contents of this 1967 concert package have long been attributed to the Big Apple's Madison Square or Cinci's own Cincinnati Gardens -- which was only a stones-throw from King Records, Inc's Brewster Ave. digs -- neither is factually correct. Truth be told, the closest thing to a garden at the Latin Casino is that it resides in Cherry Hill, NJ -- the Garden State. It is here that Soul Brother ...

| | Dave Nevling That Look CD (2000)
In Your Eyes
$18.99 BIOGRAPHYYou might say Dave Nevling got an early start to his music career because, according to his sister, he learned to sing before he learned to talk. Many Nevling family members were musically inclined, so Dave was inspired by both exposure and natural talent. The Nevling family moved to White Plains, New York when Dave was 15, and his first experience as a lead singer came when he was asked by some classmates to join their band, "The Boys." Nevling commented, "I was the only one with a basement to practice in. That may have been the deciding factor for my being hired at the time."Dave Nevling was first introduced to the blues while attending a junior college in Connecticut, but it wasn't until a couple years later at Georgetown University, in D.C., that he started studying the harmonica. Besides a few book basics, he realized playing the harmonica is pretty much a self-taught experience and requires many hours of experimentation and practice. While living in south Florida with his sister, Dave found the ultimate makeshift sound studio-empty sewer pipes at a construction site near their apartment. Nevling added, "Of course, it wasn't until evening, after the work crew left, that I headed out to the pipes, no mic or amp, with just a flashlight and my bag of harps. The acoustics ...

| | ISTK Apostiles Amen CD (2009)
In Your Eyes
$6.69 ISTK Apostiles met in April of ’08 when one of the artists in the group, Jose, came to Victory Chapel for the first time and decided that he would like to attend the church on a regular basis. Elijah’s father, Pastor Marvin Burley, is the man who preaches in the church. Not every single member in the group was introduced to the group at around this same time frame though. The only three members that got to know each other well around this time frame were Jose, Jeff and Elijah. Misty came to the group a couple of months later. It was around the December time frame, when Pastor Burley came up to the guys and told them that he would like to do what he labeled a, “No Talent Show,” for fear that people would get offended if they got on the stage and people began to boo them. The, “No Talent Show,” was supposed to be scheduled for the Christmas time frame, so everyone went around looking for talent and trying to find out what each other’s skills were. It was around this time frame that Elijah and Jeff found out that Jose could rap and asked him if he wanted to join in on one of the acts that they were doing. Jose told them that he could rap, but that he wasn’t sure if they wanted to hear anything that he had to speak about on wax, considering that a lot of the words that he put down on paper were secular. The guys told him to attempt to write a spiritual rhyme anyway and talked him into doing the show eventually. It wasn’t until Kris Campbell, Misty’s husband, told the guys that he knew somebody that could make beats for them, that the group got together and officially decided to come up with the name, “ISTK Apostiles,” for the group, which Kris came up with. Kris then introduced Misty to the group and told the rest of the guys that she could sing. Misty’s soulful ...
