| | Poster Boy Material Entitled To Human Rights CD Poster Boy Material Discography of CDs
I'm a jaded post punk punk rocker, you got a problem with it? I never dug the fashion element, nor the angry element. I always loved the political and consciously rebellious elements. I missed the real punk era, the Vandals, Sex Pistols, Cramps, et. al. I did catch the waning tide of op ivy, dead kennedys, mxpx, pennywise, nofx, nomeansno, etc, etc...I haven't heard punk that I felt had a political message or a tight refined sound in years, but thanks to my friend Randy, great recording engineer in Dallas if you ever need one, I found Poster Boy Material. In one album these guys fom Dallas, TX hit on Gay Marriage, Immigration Policy, Drug Abuse, and Elitism with a sound that ranges from the edge of hardcore to ska. I can't wait to get the album. Entitled To Human Rights
$14.19 Though former Runaways guitarist Lita Ford has been absent from the recording industry since 1997, she hasn't exactly been idle. After releasing Kiss Me Deadly, her final album after a string of them in the '80s and '90s, the music scene -- and the industry with it -- changed, and alternative ruled the airwaves. Ford got married to Jim Gillette, former vocalist with hair metal rockers Nitro, and started a family. In addition, she relocated to the Caribbean. Wicked Wonderland is uncharacteristic of the pop-metal she released a decade ago. It's an in-your-face metal record, but ultimately it's a very studied and calculated 21st century pop-metal record. It's an album with explicit sexual content, examining S&M, bondage, power exchanges, and all manner of kink and crave in lyrics, words, and sleeve images. Ford wrote all of these songs with her co-producers Greg Hampton and Gillette. Gillette is also either a duet partner or backing vocalist on every track here. Hampton ...

| | Ted Nugent CD (1975) Remastered
Entitled To Human Rights
$6.75 Digitally remastered by Vic Anesini (Sony Music Studios, New York, New York).
Ted Nugent's self-titled 1975 debut solo release is a bold expression of gonzo guitarist's sound, image, and abundant attitude. Ted had what was essentially a touring band with Amboy Dukes bassist Rob Grange, fellow Michiganite Derek St. Holmes on vocals and guitar, and Cliff Davies on drums. During days off from the mega-road trip that preceded this album, the group recorded its first record. Co-produced by famed hard-rock/metal helmsman Tom Werman, "Stranglehold" has the impromptu jamming feel of a live show.
Like "Deuce" for Kiss, the first track of a first album can define an act. "Stranglehold" leads straight into the no-holds-barred "Stormtroopin'," where the riffs are non-stop. The boogieish "Hey Baby" shows why St. Holmes was an underrated, soulful hard-rock vocalist. He howls "got me an overdose of rock & roll" on "Just ...

Entitled To Human Rights
$8.99 Between the trance-like "Come Around" and the swirling "Walking Away," Sugar's second album, BEASTER (1993), is a sonic whirlwind that seems to function as a cathartic primal scream for Bob Mould, allowing him to exorcise personal issues. After a series of drum rolls, "Tilted," a ...

Entitled To Human Rights
$16.45 Beatless and searching the HEART drove down a lonely but crowded highway. Beside him was his old friend the MIND, after exchanging numbers over humming dotted lines, they met with SOUL and some others to try and form a band. The others dropped off, but mind, heart, and soul remained. Although passionate, precise and playful the three knew they were missing something. Patience paid off as in succession FACE was found and VOICE arrived. This body of parts formed The Hinges on October 21, 2006 when they played to an at capacity crowd of friends, fans and soon to be fans at the now defunct Mickey's in Charlotte, NC. Amazed by the response to their debut, the band harnessed their fans' devotion and word of mouth, fine tuned their live show, and hit the road playing numerous shows across the Carolinas. Citing ...
| | Neurotransmitters CD (2008)
Entitled To Human Rights
$11.49 Chief Neuro Darryl Gray has always liked things sweet and sour. Perhaps that is why he so diligently chronicles the lives of the downtrodden and desperate within the realm of epic, life affirming music. Or maybe he is just a morbid bastard.Everyday vignettes that chronicle the absurdities of real life pepper the story-songs of The Neurotransmitters. Each character appears to exist uneasily inside their skin, with euphoria or despair never far away. Indeed, if he had an attention span any greater than 5 minutes, Darryl Gray would make a fine novelist, albeit one obsessed with sex and death. Great lyrics are nothing, however, if the music doesn’t compliment the overall feeling and drama of the picture being painted and this is where The Neurotransmitters come into their own. The lively and thoughtful drumming of Aaron Millard and the hooky, spidery guitar ...
