| | Chazz Demeyer Recovery CD Chazz Demeyer Discography of CDs
Chazz's new CD Recovery is without a doubt some of his finest song writing in well over 20 years. His decision to write, sing and record again shows that is never too late to create, as long as the passion still burns, and the fire is red hot with Recovery. The album features 12 new songs with strong band tracks and blatantly honest lyrics. His inspiration is drawn from the period of his life when a tragic spinal cord injury cut short his career in music, but then offered new, and in some ways, far more fulfilling avenues for happiness.Although a considerable amount of time has passed since that eventful day, and has continued to write music since then, he always avoided singing and writing about those days. Days when the possibility of an unhappy ending were all too real. The songs are uplifting and inspirational, and although some depict the struggle and perseverance it takes to climb up and out of a dark place, it also delivers the hope and peace that's offered by the mere act of continually pushing forward and never giving up.The CD features many artists that Chazz had performed with in his past, as well as new musicians and singers to enhance and complete this project. The tunes are reminiscent of the 70's with solid band tracks and lots of vocal harmonies. Chazz Demeyer Recovery Songs | 1. | Blast to the Past |

Purchase Recovery CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Trans-Siberian Orchestra Night Castle CDs (2009)
Recovery
$11.35 NIGHT CASTLE appears just in time for the big 2009 holiday season but don't be fooled: this isn't a Christmas album, even if it's sonically indistinguishable from Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other seasonal releases, and the fact that it's been dubbed "Capra-esque" certainly brings it within the realm of the season. NIGHT CASTLE brims with all the drama, pomp, and circumstance of Trans-Siberian Orchestra's ...

| | Michael Buble Crazy Love CD (2009)
Recovery
$14.49 Buoyed by the popularity of the hit contemporary pop ballad "Home," singer Michael Bublé's 2005 album, IT'S TIME, clearly positioned the vocalist as the preeminent neo-crooner of his generation. Easily the singer's most stylistically wide-ranging album so far, 2009's CRAZY LOVE is also one of his brightest, poppiest, and most fun. Bublé kicks things off with the theatrical, epic ballad "Cry Me a River" and proceeds to milk the tune with burnished breath, eking out the drama line by line. It's over the top for sure, but Bublé takes you to the edge of the cliff, prepares to jump, and then gives you a knowing wink that says, not quite yet -- there's more fun to be had. And what fun it is with Bublé swinging through "All of Me," and killin' Van Morrison's classic "Crazy Love" with a light and yearning touch. And just as "Home" worked to showcase Bublé's own writing abilities, here we get the sunshine pop of "Haven't Met You Yet" -- a skippy, jaunty little song that brings to mind a mix of the Carpenters ...

| | Pink Martini Splendor In The Grass CD (2009) Digipak
Recovery
$13.39 Pink Martini follow the around-the-world-in-a-dozen-songs thrills of HEY EUGENE! with SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS, a mellower, simpler set of small pleasures. These are relative terms, however; the group's music is still well-traveled, with China Forbes singing in five languages (English, Spanish, Neapolitan, French, and Italian) instead of the six or so on EUGENE!. However, Pink Martini opt for a more unified sound here, one that draws on the more straightforward lounge-pop of their debut, SYMPATHIQUE, and the mellowness of '60s and '70s pop. SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS' first half is especially smooth, opening with the beautifully soft Neapolitan ballad "Ninna Nanna" and the title track, on which Forbes sings "I think we should take it slow" over swooping strings, brass, and piano that resurrect the glory days of AM pop; that feeling is echoed by the cover of Joe Raposo's "Sing," the Sesame Street song that gained popularity when the Carpenters performed it (Emilio Delgado, aka Sesame Street's Luis, duets with Forbes here in Spanish and English). The album's first few tracks are among its most playful, including the slinky yet winking "Ohayoo Ohio" and the French confection "Ou Est Ma Tete?" ...
| | Bad Lieutenant Never Cry Another Tear CD (2009)
Recovery
$8.79 With Peter Hook's departure in 2007, prospects for new material from New Order were looking increasingly dim, so the surprisingly workmanlike Bernard Sumner formed Bad Lieutenant to record his new songs. Sumner looked for help to various sources: latter-day New Order keyboardist Phil Cunningham; bassist Tom Chapman; a young Manchester head named Jake Evans for guitar, vocals, and a little songwriting; plus, on a few tracks, bassist Alex James of Blur and New Order drummer Stephen Morris. Sumner can't help but recall New Order as soon as he puts pen to paper or opens his mouth, but there are slight differences between this material and ...
| | Eddie 'Guitar' Burns Snake Eyes CD (2002)
Recovery
$12.89 Like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and John Lee Hooker, Eddie "Guitar" Burns is a perfect example of a bluesman who was born and raised in Mississippi but made his mark after he moved north and went electric. The main difference between Burns and those other bluesmen -- all of whom he outlived -- is the fact that he isn't a great singer. While Waters, Wolf, and Hooker were all both great singers and great musicians, Burns is a fine musician but a limited singer. Of course, having a limited vocal range hasn't prevented Madonna from providing meaningful dance-pop -- and similarly, Burns doesn't let his vocal limitations hold him back on Snake Eyes. A 73-year-old Burns recorded this CD for Delmark on September 12 and 13, 2001 -- right after the 9/11 terrorist attacks -- and the veteran bluesman is in good form throughout the album. Burns' vocals are on the thin side, but he still gets his points across on original songs, as well as on performances of Memphis Slim's "Lend Me Your Love," Paul Gayten's "For You My Love," and Charles E. Calhoun's "Your Cash Ain't Nothin' But Trash" (which has been recorded by everyone from the Clovers to Steve Miller). And his musicianship (on harmonica as well as guitar) is certainly nothing to complain about. Burns, whose brother Jimmy Burns is also employed on guitar, offers an appealing Detroit/Chicago blend -- Snake Eyes is primarily an album of Detroit-style electric blues, but the disc isn't without Windy City influences. In fact, the brothers produced Snake Eyes with Delmark founder/president Bob Koester, who is a major expert when it comes to Chicago blues. Although not a five-star masterpiece, Snake Eyes is an enjoyable outing from ...
