My name is Pocahontas. I was born in Los Angeles, raised in Trenton,New Jersey and also in Long Beach, California. I am Trinidadian/El Salvadorian mix. I am one of the realest female hip hop lyricist today. I've been labeled a revolutionist. It's also been said that I am the Harriet Tubman of the underground Hip Hop world! People say I remind them of a female Tupac because of my subject matter and also they say they feel the pain in my voice. I've been writing in my diary ever since I learned to write. At age 11, I began writing poetry in my diary to vent my emotions and painful experiences. At about age 13, my poetry transitioned to writing rap songs. I did tons of rap battles as a teenager, many times eating alive male opponents. I was raised by cut throats in the inner city urban communities. I constantly metamorphisized my flows and writing skills through the years. At the same time, I attended Langston University. There, I joined the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha and later graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I ghost wrote songs for various artist both male and female. Then I met Young Bo in 2001. I already had books and books of poetry and songs I had written over the years as well as several books and screenplays. He showed me the ropes on recording actual songs in the studio. He introduced me to Chilly Mac a.k.a. Cool Chills, who took me under his wing and made me his female Rapper. Together they took me through boot camp training and made me pay dues big time. They were not easy on me but they admired my hunger. Finally, I was put in their crew "Spiritual Thugs". Jag Bomb is also part of this crew.
