Seeing this finally released on dvd is a sign of how great TV was during the seventies. This was an epic of history filled with emotion, war, and friendships that lasted a lifetime. If you haven't had a chance to experience this saga then take advantage of this while you can because it won't be available at a price like this for long.

watch centennial when it first come out the dvd brings back how much i missed the epic series one of the best series ever

I've been waiting for this gem to be made available to the public for a long time. Probably my favorite TV seies all time along with Lonesome Dove.
Great acting and some wonderful scenic vistas.

A story about the birth of an American town, from its humble beginings as a Trading Post to a thriving community. This mixes real stories of the West with fiction, but it is done with style, feeling and love. A must for the patrons of the Western.
