J Gustavson Sjunger Corn
$12.09 The very first moments of Rodrigo y Gabriela's sophomore effort, 11:11, hit the listener cold in the face, and not just because of the amazing guitar playing. Sure, it's there, but it's what anyone who heard the duo's astonishing debut would expect. No, it's the sound of the record: immediate, ...

$14.59 RIVERDANCE won the 1997 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
The Grammy Award-winning soundtrack to the popular Riverdance stage show has been re-released with a bonus remix of "Riverdance," as well as deluxe packaging which includes photographs from the show. Bill Whelan, who has worked for twenty years as a composer, producer, and arranger (his credits include work for Kate Bush, Hothouse Flowers, Van Morrison, and U2, among others), achieved international recognition for RIVERDANCE.
Whelan incorporates a variety of ethnic musical traditions as well as modern and choral music and the hypnotic, rhythmic hard-shoe Irish dancing for which RIVERDANCE is famous. This album traverses the continents, assembling an amazing group of international and Irish musicians. Standouts include the ...

| | Amethystium Odonata CD (2001)
J Gustavson Sjunger Corn
$12.75 This is the debut album from Amethystium which received a groundswell of support from online listeners, to the tune of a half million downloads before its official release. The album is attributed to Oystein Ramfjord, a composer from Norway who makes ambient electronic music full of mystifying sounds. The opening song, "Opaque," begins with an incredible underwater sonar pulse that makes way for passages of Indian vocals that are very reminiscent of Deep Forest. In fact, most songs employ well-crafted samples of ethnic music ...
| | WCBS FM-101 History Of Rock/The 60'S PT. 3 CD (1990)
J Gustavson Sjunger Corn
$12.29 Collectables' History of Rock: The 60s, Pt. 3 is a random but wonderful 24-track collection of pop and rock gems. It touches on doo wop (the Belmonts' "Where or When," Don & Juan's "What's Your Name"), frat rock (the O'Kaysions' "Girlwatcher," Bob Kuban & the In-Men's "The Cheater"), early soul (Gene Chandler's "Duke of Earl," Jerry Butler's "Let It Be Me"), R&B (Lee Dorsey's "Workin' in a Coal Mine," Ernie K-Doe's "Mother in Law"), girl group (the Shangri-Las' "Leader of the Pack," the Dixie Cups' "Iko Iko"), country-pop (Sue Thompson's "Norman"), and just plain great songs (Dion's "The Wanderer," the Turtles' "She'd Rather Be With Me"). The collection plays like an hour ...

| | Kill The Frontman Songs From The Game Room CD (2008)
J Gustavson Sjunger Corn
$9.85 Kill The Frontman’s sound is not what you might expect from a band whose members have punched numbers in both hardcore and hip-hop outfits, but then again, satisfying expectations has never produced original or powerful music.Chris Reynolds, formerly of This is Hell, and Matt McGinley, currently the backbone of Gym Class Heroes, first met as undergraduates at Oneonta College, through mutual friend, guitarist/vocalist Frank Sicari who they enlisted the help of in breaking ground on a band whose sound is equal parts punk, pop, and hardcore. Originally touring under the name Sherwood, Kill The Frontman has played host to a slew of bass players, all of whom seem to have found success in their own right (former member Eric Roberts now plays bass alongside McGinley in Gym Class Heroes). The band has finally located a permanent bass player in Zo Mourning, who has written music with Reynolds since their days growing up in the doldrums of rural New York. While achieving marginal success in the Oneonta area, McGinley left Kill The Frontman to pursue Gym Class Heroes and Reynolds joined Scraps and Heart Attacks, a lesser known old-school hardcore troupe from the early millennium. The band went on an indefinite hiatus until last fall, when all four members took a break from their respective projects and got together to record Songs from the Game Room. The songwriting on Songs from the Game Room is an amalgamation of the various nuances and styles each member of the band is capable of contributing. At times, Reynolds manages to sound like both the bastard son of Fat Mike and the heir to the throne left vacant by Modern Life Is War’s Jeffrey Eaton. The precision and flare of McGinley’s beats are unmistakable throughout Songs from ...
