Four Jills In A Jeep review
$25.29 Raised in Queens Bridge, the 41st side of Vernon, Alfredo Bryan, aka Littles is definitely the Best of the Block. Littles, who's known to QB as Lil' Lord, dabbled heavily in the drug game, along with his partner Killa Black in the early '90s. His main goal at the age of fifteen was getting money in the streets along with his partner. "We wore guns like belts," and "by the time my shift was over I had sold, like, $12,000 worth of crack." "We didn't have any respect for life, man, nor our freedom."It wasn't until serving a five-year sentence at the age of seventeen, in a maximum-security jail upstate for shooting at cops and the birth of his first angel JaQuay, did he realize that his life had to change. During one of those five years, Littles was locked up in a box, twenty-three hours a day. "I never rapped when I was on the block, but when you have 23 hours a day to spend with yourself, you learn ways to pass the time." Littles started writing and used his time to perfect his craft. He would battle anyone that approached him in the yard, though at first it was hard it only gave him the strength and motivation to go back to his pen and pad and go harder. Returning home to queens in '98, Littles immediately embarked on his mission, recording joints with fellow MCRs Raekwon ,Nature, Nas, and Mobb Deep. Time paid off as Littles' matured with his cocky flow and grimy, rotten apple street-parables. It helped win him cameo appearances on Prodigy's solo album, H.N.I.C., Mobb Deep's Infamy, the QB Finest album, Lake presents The 41st Side and Virgin Records Billy Crawford three times platium album. Meanwhile, his rep began to spread throughout the five boroughs. But, fearful of getting trapped on the "black couch" (that sofa or loveseat in the back of every studio), Littles took the initiative.Littles' best move to date on the industry chessboard, is his unwillingness to sign to a major label. He refused to wait for his career to happen through someone else and so as a result his master plan was set into action and Best of the Block Entertainment was born. He reinvested his royalty money into single-handedly booking a 30-date tour for Mobb Deep throughout the East Coast. Hitting the road out of town meant promoting himself and his company through local radio and live shows. Along the way, Littles developed a rapport with mom-and-pop record stores and chains up and down the eastern seaboard, as well as magazines such as Source, XXL, Vibe, Fridge, Mass Appeal, True, Elemental, Vice, Get Busy (U.K), and Rap US (U.K). Before long, Best of the Block was ringing bells nationwide. If there's a crowd of five people standingaround in any hood and you ask who is Littles' of QB, three of them are going to respond with excitement."I'm very aggressive, when I get involved with something, I put my heart into it and I don't stop until I get my Ish." He once hugged the block selling trademark caps, now sells trademark raps. He stood the stand, walked the walk, filmed the word, and now he talks the talk in his debut album titled Littles, The Feeding. The Feeding did not just come with nineteen tracks of war rhetoric, but also a home DVD where Littles took us on the road with him and Mobb Deep as well as into the lion's den in Queens Bridge. The album features production from Alchemist, Havoc (of Mobb Deep), Sha Self, and EZ Elpee. The Feeding also features appearances from Mobb Deep, Big Noyd, and Tragedy Khadafi as well. So this gansta might be in the studio, but he's no studio gangsta. The gun is ...
