Bedlam in Goliath album for sale Product Description
Bedlam in Goliath album for sale by Mars Volta was released Jun 10, 2008 on the Motown (Record Label) label. With its furious sonic assault, wildly surrealist sensibility, and volatile mystique, the Mars Volta seemed like a band that would gloriously self-destruct after a couple of albums. Although the Los Angeles-based post-punk/prog-rock group did allegedly almost break up prior to THE BEDLAM IN GOLIATH, the record finds vocalist Cedric Bixler Zavala, guitarist Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez, and company still creating a fascinating racket more than four years after its startling 2003 debut, DE-LOUSED IN THE COMATORIUM. Bedlam in Goliath CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

| give it a chance I've been a Volta fan since I heard the first song (2nd track) off of De-Loused. Each album has unique characteristics, and often require a few listens to get the full potential. This band never ceases to amaze me with their intense creativity and sounds. Crank the CD up, open your mind and let the Mars Volta take you where no other band can. | Another win I was a bit skeptical upon first listen, but after giving the album one more chance it has grown on me a great deal. I've been a fan since De-loused and have been nervous this band would eventually disintegrate into an obscurity of sheer unlistenable musical insanity, but this album has shown they know when too much randomness is just enough. This go around is much more intense than the other discs but equally as creative. By Mark (Knoxville, TN) This review is for a different format. |
| well thought out and at times strange This is the first mars volta album i have purchased. I must say now i am already a loyal fan and am currenly scouting out earlier records from them. I played this album in the car and i Thought it was going to blow my cars speakers through the roof of the car!!! This album is a complete surprise and isn't predictable. This is the best modern band album i have heard yet By Westonnixon89 (Altoona Iowa usa) This review is for a different format. |
| hmph i never thought the mars volta could have a sucky cd. oh well it's okay. theres about 5 or 6 songs that are good. By Shluttz (Dallas, TX) This review is for a different format. |
| Incredible Probably their most straight-forward album since De-Loused in the Comatorium, the Bedlam is 70-plus minutes of musical insanity. I was so nervous about the future of the Volta after Jon Theodore left the band. But Thomas Pridgen eased all my reservations when I saw the Volta at Toad's Place in early January. Pridgen shines on the Bedlam, but so does the rest of the band. As always, the guitar, vocals, bass and countless other instruments are flawless. The Mars Volta is redefining what progressive rock could be with each album. By Popetastic (New Haven) This review is for a different format. |
