One of my favorite Newman films. He gave an outstanding perforamnce. So did George Kennedy. Highly reommend this film.

3 stars classic, must have
Paul Newman is a lost sole that lives for the moment, he is sentenced for two years with a chain gang for commenting a criminal mischief act. Probable would have easily done the time except the warden punishes Newman's character "Luke" for what he might do. Luke has guts, and decides to make good on what he had already paid the price for. If you liked Shawshank you'll love this one as well.
