Super Hits 2 album
$11.14 Daisy in her hair aside, Carrie Underwood looks flat-out glamorous on the cover of PLAY ON, which is a pretty fair indication of what awaits listeners on her third album. Carrie is still nominally a country artist and sometimes will sing supported by fiddles and steel guitar, but this is crossover pop pure and simple, whether it's the thundering rhythms on the Shania-styled strut "Cowboy Casanova" or the succession of maudlin melodies on the preponderance of power ballads. Carrie takes a much stronger presence as a writer here, co-authoring seven of the 13 songs, and she's attracted to hookless showstoppers designed to showcase ...

Super Hits 2 CD music
$12.09 THE ROSE HOTEL is Texas songwriter Robert Earle Keen's first studio album since 2005's WHAT I REALLY MEAN. Keen enlisted fellow Texan Lloyd Maines to produce him this time out and that was a solid decision. The material ranges from the title track which is one of his spun out story tunes that looks at a pair of lovers who can never quite connect as they think their meant to. Fueled by a shuffling rhythm, mandolins, Bukka Allen's accordion, and some electric ...
| | Randy McKean So Dig This Big Crux CD (1991)
Super Hits 2 music CDs
$14.69 The odd title of this album is taken from the lyrics to a Minutemen song, but the listener will hear a lot more Anthony Braxton and Roscoe Mitchell in Randy McKean's work than any punk band. Indeed, the recording is dedicated to the former and includes ...

$8.55 Alright. I want to preface my lil blog with how fucking long in the making this really is. when i was like.... 18 i think... i dont even remember.... i made a crazy first attempt at making an album. i had very little skill, very little friends, and even less money. i made a nine song cd, where i made all the beats, recorded everything in my bedroom, and did all the art work and printed up shit at kinkos. at the time, i really thought i was the shit. going back and listening to some of that old stuff, im just glad i was having fun at the time. cuz in reality, i will probably never let anyone hear that stuff again. some of you people that have been around for a minute have probably heard some of that stuff, and maybe even have a copy of it. throw it away. :) so that leads us to now. kind of. i made a bunch of songs after that... and they gradually got more cohesive and better sounding. i kept making songs with no particular direction, just trying to show people i was cool. (which i later found out i wasnt. fuck) so i started doing shows, and getting more into the scene, making friends, and meeting cool ass musicians. after realizing how little i had actually accomplished in 4 years, (potheadism) i decided it was time to either take a shot at doing something worthwhile, or focus my time and energy on something else. so i had the vision of making an album, and i wanted to go all out. unfortunately it took me another year or two to actually get stuff that i was proud of enough to put out in a formal sense. i had hit a wall, id done all i could without having an album, and going on tour, and yadda yadda. so i decided to set a deadline for myself, and get as much stuff that i loved together and make and album. so the deadline ended up getting pushed back several million times (potheadism, alcoholism). but finally i had enough songs, and was more confident in my skills as an MC, and a mix engineer. so i got some of my friends to throw me some really good beats, and put it all down. in the end, i rushed myself, and made myself work harder than i ever thought i would on music. i finally finished it all, and sent it off to a superb mastering engineer in Minneapolis. I enlisted my cousin to help me do all the photoshop magic (cuz im a retard with anything visual). i saved a lot of money, and ate canned dog food. not literally, but campbells chunky soup is something i wouldnt even push onto my lovely pups. and now...... the music is completely finished and mastered, all 13 songs of the last few years of my life. (minus the ones that sucked ass too much) the art work is all but finished. the album is titled DARK DAYS PASS. and it will be ready to be sent as soon as the replication process is completed. (2 weeks tops) so for those that give a fuck, and made it all the way to the end of this lil book i wrote..... I LOVE YOU. and im really proud of what ive done here. i enjoy it, and im hoping with all my hope that you all enjoy it as well. so stay up, and support the underground music scene.... ...
