Cofféy was born and raised 5 miles outside of Bangs, Tx with a population of 1100 people. Early on you could tell Cofféy was born to perform. He would stand in the bed of his dad’s farm truck and perform for the passing cars on the road in front of his house. He began singing in church at age 6 and fell in love with sports as he got older. He grew to 6’5 and was a stand-out in Texas High School Basketball. Though he would get technical fouls for dancing on the court after a dunk during the game or for leading the crowd in song while at the free throw line, many knew he was different from other kids. Cofféy attended college and in 2002 while on a basketball trip with the university decided he wanted to learn to play an instrument. Buying a beginner guitar book and borrowing a guitar from a friend, he started to play. After learning only few chords, writing songs became an obsession. Coffey walked away from his first love, basketball, to focus on music. He then got the courage to test his talent with the best in the business and moved to Los Angeles. Without knowing anybody Cofféy started crashing auditions, movie shoots, and singing in malls until security came. "If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody else will." Cofféy would win open mic nights around the city and won a talent contest that gave free studio time. He made an 8 song demo and started street performing to sell it. Crowds would fill the street and the police would shut the concerts down. Cofféy has since performed all around the country, doing over 100 dates in 7 months, and finshed 3 albums. The albums include: Southern Man, Me and You, and The Inspiration Vol.1. Coffey is a firm prophet of DIY (do It Yourself) He uses his computer each week to make videos teaching his fans how to play his songs online, and making cool remixes of popular songs with freestyle raps and breakdowns of leagendary stories. | | Brooks & Dunn #1's... And Then Some CDs (2009)
Southern Man
$12.39 Three weeks before the release of this double-disc best-of-and-then-some collection, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, who as Brooks & Dunn were one of the most successful duos in country music history, decided to call it a day after 19 years, 40 singles (half of which topped the country charts), ten studio albums, and a slew of awards. As far as the industry was concerned, they went out on top. #1s... AND THEN SOME contains 30 tracks spread over two discs and includes two new songs. Disc One opens with Ronnie Dunn and Terry McBride's barroom/stadium rock killer "Honky Tonk Stomp," ...

| | Darius Rucker Learn To Live CD (2008)
Southern Man
$12.55 Although for the rest of his life, underinformed fans of 1990s pop will forever be calling Darius Rucker "Hootie," the former Hootie & the Blowfish singer-songwriter makes his solo debut with a perfectly credible take on mainstream contemporary Nashville country. The laid-back, largely acoustic folk-pop of Hootie & the Blowfish was never that far removed from contemporary country in the first place, so only the fact that Rucker is the first major African-American country star since the heyday of Charley Pride makes the stylistic crossover out of the ordinary. First single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," a Top 5 hit on the Billboard country charts even prior to the album's release, makes clear how comfortable Rucker is with the blend of the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks that is contemporary country radio, and ...
| | Shawn Mullins Eggshells CD (1996)
Southern Man
$15.19 Coming on the heels of the fairly fabulous Big Blue Sky is a tall order for any album, and Eggshells does its best to be a strong follow-up. Most of the moments of it clear the bar, but others fall the slightest bit shy. The title track finds Shawn Mullins in a haunting, soulful mood, and to great effect. "Drumming Clown," "Cycle of Our Souls," "Song to the Self," "Bitter Tears," and "Shimmer" all match its introspective beauty. Mullins and his deep, emotive voice really lend themselves well to these darker compositions. That's not to say the other stuff is bad. No sir. "Where's Johnny," "Joshua," and "She" are also fine tunes. Then there's "Salt Lake City 1973," a brilliant spoken word/editorial piece detailing a family vacation into Mormon country, as told from the eyes of a five-year old Mullins. Interspersed between some of the songs are spoken introductions by Mullins serving as signposts, if you will, to guide the listener through the album and create a sweet intimacy. To trace the roots of an artist can be very telling. Take "Shimmer," for example, as it's a Mullins favorite. The acoustic rendering ...
