Born in the Windy City in Illinois, Soide Yaveh Rodriguez came into this world sealed with a name that would give way to God's vision for her life. Meaning 'I am of Yahweh', Soide Yaveh grew up, secure of her identity in God and looked forward to a fulfillment of His purpose in her, sooner or later. Raised in Hartford, Connecticut, she became an active participant of her local church and community, sharing the gospel of Jesus through songs with those around her and standing as a role model for the local youth. Around the age of 17, Soide Yaveh began to understand that she wanted to formally use her musical talents to share the love of God. It was throughout her college years that Soide Yaveh began to write her own songs and prepare herself for this production. "Su Proposito en mi" (His Purpose in Me) will challenge people of all ages, particularly the younger generations, to raise the standard of holy living before God in a time of so much compromising of God's Word. In addition, this production provokes the conscious of those who claim to have no faith but feel that there must be more to this life on Earth. The titles of the tracks reflect this. "Dodi Li/Erev Shel Shoshanim" is a popular wedding song, meaning "I am my beloved's/An Evening of Roses." The other two songs are in honor of parents; "Avi Mori" is "My Father" and "Eishes Chayil" is "Woman of Valor."Hazzan Alisa Pomerantz-Boro grew up on Mercer Island, Washington, in a rabbinic home, instilled with a love of Judaism and music. From an early age, she knew she would continue the long family line of rabbis, cantors and educators. Hazzan Pomerantz-Boro was invested as a Hazzan and earned a degree in sacred Jewish music from the Cantors Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where she was awarded the Jacobson Memorial Prize in Hazzanut. She also holds a B.A. in Near Eastern Studies and Music from the University of Washington. While in cantorial school, Hazzan Pomerantz-Boro held the position of assistant cantor at New York's prestigious Park Avenue Synagogue. In May 1991, Hazzan Pomerantz-Boro was among the first 14 women to be inducted into the Cantors Assembly, the professional organization of Conservative cantors. Following her investiture, she was the Hazzan at Tifereth Israel Synagogue in San Diego, CA for 13 years. She has taken a leadership role by acting as the co-chair of the Western Region and on the National Executive Council of the Cantors Assembly. Currently, Pomerantz-Boro is delighted to be serving as Hazzan of Congregation Beth El in Cherry Hill, NJ. Hazzan Pomerantz-Boro is known for her moving renditions of liturgical music and enjoys concertizing throughout the country.
