| | Cristina Prez Madiedo Madiedo,Cristina Prez Vol. 2-Eliot Fisk Guitar Series CD (2008)
Songs For The Last View CD music
$11.39 When we inaugurated the Eliot Fisk Guitar Series at VGo Recordings, our idea was to give a forum for talented young players just starting their careers. In particular we wanted to give a chance to those gifted young players who have come to our attention through Boston GuitarFest (www.bostonguitarfest.org), the annual festival that takes place each June through the good offices of the New England Conservatory and Northeastern University. With the present CD, Cristina Pérez Madiedo continues this tradition with a selection of pieces from Latin America, all reflective in some way of the rich folk traditions that have nurtured so-called “serious music” for so long. Antonio Lauro´s Seis por Derecho (literally, “six (steps) to the right” - a call for a series of steps in Venezuelan folk dancing) was first made famous in the ...

$13.15 Jackson Deerfield lives in Nashville, Tn... This seasoned professional has played in a variety of different venues. He began at six years old and his first encounter with music was with the drums and upright bass in school. Jackson picked up quickly, moving from bass to learning guitar He learned songs the hard way, by playing along with recordings of various artists over and over until he got it down and could play it on his own! Jackson became very popular as a one man act and actually played the same bars and clubs that some of the local bands were playing, only for much less! It was while playing at one of these gig's that a band from a neighboring city in ( Binghamton N.Y.) asked Jackson to play bass for them, and this is where Jackson's long road career began! They traveled the Mid-West extensively for over a year, Then the group decided to go home, but Jackson was not ready to give it up! ...

Songs For The Last View CD music
$14.79 Gateway to Eternity is the result of many months of dedication to compose, arrange, and produce an album that truly reflects the essence of who I am as a person and as an artist. It is a profoundly spiritual album that is intended to awaken the more subtle energies within us.While the new age genre is quite befitting, Gate to Eternity was actually composed with influences from several genres. As with any other artist, there are others whose work has inspired me. Among these are Vangelis, Peter Gabriel, and Pink Floyd. From the classical genre I have been inspired in different ways by such masters as Mozart, Chopin, and Debussy.Like a great nebula in the deepest realms of outer space, I believe the human spirit was crafted through divine intention. I invite you to embark on a spiritual journey of sound crafted by my intention to fulfill my life's purpose; bringing music into the hearts and souls of others.Music has always been with me. In fact, music runs deep on both sides of my family. I was about six years old when my father bought me my first violin. I have quite vivid memories of my violin teacher, Oscar Carrescia. His studio was and still is in Las Vegas, where I lived during most of the first ten years of my life. My family's return to México after living in the United States for nearly ten years cut my violin studies short to only three years. Even so, the effect they had on me was and remains indelible.Unable to find a suitable replacement for my violin teacher, I eventually gave up the instrument for good. It was then that the piano entered my life. Any melody I liked was a melody I sought to imitate by ear and eventually play on the piano. My mother's brother, Raúl, played in a band and always had keyboards laying around in his studio. I was always fascinated by them. I recall the first recording of electronic music I encountered—Isao Tomita's rendition of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.I eventually studied under several piano teachers, but Eva Peralta, my first teacher, impressed upon me the most. It was in her studio where I fell in love with the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Debussy, and several others. I was also influenced by contemporary artists like ...
