Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re Based on the Hasbro toy line that initially captivated kids in the 1980s, director Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS finds two warring bands of shape-shifting alien robots renewing their intergalactic conflict on Earth. While the Decepticons, followers of the malevolent Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving), strive to take over the planet, the Autobots, led by the valiant Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen), are intent on protecting humanity. When young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) discovers that his new car is really the Autobot Bumblebee (voiced by Mark Ryan), it sets the stage for a massive giant-robot showdown.
A shining example of the Hollywood summer blockbuster at its best, TRANSFORMERS combines stunning CGI effects and thrilling action sequences with drama, humor, and a touch of romance. Featuring a large cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro, Anthony Anderson, and Rachael Taylor, the film is anchored by LaBeouf, who always displays an engaging Everyman charm, whether he's running from colossal robots, interacting with his well-meaning parents (hilariously played by Kevin Dunn and Julie White), or pining for his gorgeous classmate (Megan Fox). While some TRANSFORMERS purists may be dismayed by certain aspects of this bold big-screen adaptation (Bumblebee is a Camaro instead of a Volkswagen), the movie balances its spectacle with an admirable amount of substance, giving it an appeal far beyond pre-teen boys and their nostalgic Autobot-loving elders. Transformers Movie Review sleeper I have watched the cartoon and when I saw the commercial for this movie it was advertised as a all out war. but when I watched it, it wasn't you don't see the robots fight in till the VERY! end and even then it follows Shia LaBeouf around the city. I was expecting a lot more then what I got. If you buy this movie looking for a all out robot fight and not some teen humor that would have been funny when you where 12 then stay away from here. I am not being hard on this movie but lets say I go to AVP2 I am expecting them to fight and kill each other and not just a showdown at the end. IT'S GOT IT ALL!!!!! THIS MOVIE IS THE BOMB!!!! THE MOVIE MAY HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF CHANGES FORM THE "ORIGINAL" CARTOON SERIES,BUT YOU MUST ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CARTOON VERSION OF THE MOVIE WAS BASED ON VEHICLES THAT WERE POPULAR BACK IN THE 80'S SUCH AS THE VW BUG. SO, IN ORDER TO GET THE INTREST OF A YOUNGER CROWD INTO SOMETHING FROM THE OLD SCHOOL THE MOVIE PRODUCERS DID THE "RIGHT THING" BY USING "TRICKED-OUT" VERSIONS OR MORE UP TO DATE VERSIONS OF THE ORIGINAL CHARCTERS! $9.89 Taking place in UC 0083, this iteration of the GUNDAM series, a 13 part OAV, is one of the best; it retains the characteristics of its predecessors while giving the series a more modern look and a larger scope. Three years after the One Year War, peace is still the order of the day. However, the remnants of the Zeon forces are still bitter about their defeat and have hatched a plot to steal an advanced prototype Gundam, armed with nuclear weapons, that will be the main weapon in their new war against the Federation.

Transformers review
$10.55 Long hailed as the savior of contemporary West Coast hip-hop, The Game throws an ironic curveball at these expectations with L.A.X. Despite the specific locale of the title, this is a record that actually feels geographically homeless. Production wise, the 19 tracks pull from cross-coastal influences, and guest MCs range from Chicago (Common), New York (Raekwon), Louisiana (Lil Wayne), and, of course, South Central (Ice Cube, who appears on the post-intro banger "State Of Emergency"). All this confusion finds cohesion on two counts: Game's undeniable authority on the mic--emitting double-tracked raspy aggression that covers topics both conscientious and boasting--and the continuous, if uncharacteristic, undercurrent of sonic weirdness. Like Wayne's THE CARTER series, L.A.X. has a certain loose, idiosyncratic vibe that rolls along with a minimalist futuristic funk. Not that this undermines the Game's allure as a menacing presence, still evident on tracks like "Dope Boys," which rely on concrete-rattling beats, hard scratching, and captivating tales of harder times.

$13.55 David Ayer, who wrote TRAINING DAY, gives us another unflinching look at disillusionment and questionable decision-making within the ranks of the LAPD. Ayer's second directorial effort tells the story of burnt-out Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves), a functioning alcoholic and undisciplined detective with the Special Vice Unit. While so much of this characterization appears resonatingly familiar at first, we soon learn that the character here has been tweaked. While this loose cannon in no way does things by the book, he is also far from playing by his own rules. Ludlow is relied upon by the other detectives in the unit, and by their almost maniacally ambitious Captain Wander (Forest Whitaker), to go outside the law whenever needed. The infractions he is pressured to commit are quickly and uncomplainingly covered up by Captain Wander, while Ludlow and the rest of Special Vice receive accolades for their high clearance rate. Not until one of these cover-ups leads to the brutal murder of his ex-partner (Terry Crews) does Ludlow try to dispel the apathy (and the vodka fumes) clouding his purpose. This procedural melodrama is almost completely internalized within the LAPD, as Vice cops investigate Narcotics cops, who snitch on Homicide cops, and no one talks to Internal Affairs, etc. Crimes are staged, executed, and pinned firmly on suspects with alarming efficiency as the necessary DNA, murder weapons, and fingerprints are then sprinkled around the scenes after the fact.
A study in familiar elements slightly skewed, STREET KINGS provides a satisfying dose of bright, loud, violent police work blended with the right amount of discreetly passed interoffice envelopes to keep the taut intrigue in step with the body count. Little time is wasted on exposition, and the audience's ability to extrapolate is given a great deal of credit as Ludlow's dead wife, substance abuse, and past career troubles are flashed at us briefly, then put away in favor of the crisis at hand.

Transformers DVD
$11.29 Broken Lizard, a comedy troupe formed by former students of Colgate University, wrote and star in the enjoyably lightweight comedy SUPER TROOPERS. They play state troopers who preside over a quiet stretch of highway in Vermont. The low crime rate allows them time to pursue their own interests--mostly playing elaborate pranks on each other and on the hapless speeders they stop. Their captain, O'Hagan (Brian Cox), asks them to settle down for a while, because the governor (an amusing cameo by TV's former WONDER WOMAN, Lynda Carter) is thinking of cutting off their funding and turning their precious highway over to the jurisdiction of the hated local cops, headed by the sneaky Chief Grady (Daniel Von Bargen). The wild and not very bright troops are unable to stay out of trouble, so they'll only keep their jobs if they somehow manage to crack a big drug case. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (who also stars as the smartest trooper, Thorny) does a great job of keeping things quick and light, and the easy camaraderie of the Broken Lizard troupe gives even the grossest humor in the film an appealingly playful quality, harkening back to the innocent days of movies like STRIPES.

| | Replacement Killers DVD (1998) Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled; With Digital Copy
Transformers movie DVD
$11.29 Versatile Hong Kong box office giant Chow Yun-Fat makes a Hollywood splash as a John Lee, Chinese hitman beholden to drug kingpin Mr. Wei (Hong Kong stalwart Ken Tsang, in an interesting reversal of his "crusty cop" persona). The good news is that Lee's free after one hit; the bad news is that Wei wants revenge on a cop who killed his son--by killing the cop's son. Lee decides to run rather than kill the boy, and Wei doesn't take kindly to the betrayal. Tough-talking passport forger Meg Coburn (Mira Sorvino) creates a new identity for Lee, but that's of little help when they must face Wei's army of "replacement killers." First-timer Fuqua provides eye-candy visuals and plenty of action set pieces. John Woo executive produced.

Transformers video
$15.59 Here's a riveting triple feature to remind that, when it comes to action and gunplay, Bruce Willis can do much more than just DIE HARD. For instance, he might start HART'S WAR with Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard; declare martial law and, much to the chagrin of Denzel Washington, put all of New York City under THE SIEGE; or simply play it fast and loose enough with Billy Bob Thornton that the two of them make out like BANDITS.
