Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Special Edition; Blue Ray HD-DVD When newly-divorced Lucy moves her sons to her father's house in Santa Clara, California -- "the murder capital of the world" -- her teenage son, Michael, quickly falls in with the town's bad kids: a bike-riding, Jim Morrison-worshipping gang of blood-sucking vampires. Her younger son Sam and his buddies, the Frog brothers, are the only ones who recognize the signs of vampirism in Michael, and they plot to battle the legions of the night before they take over the entire town. One of the better vampire films about two new-in-town brothers who discover a local gang of motorcycle youths are more undead than alive. Younger brother Sam (Corey Haim) works hard to eradicate the ghoulies but his older brother (Jason Patric) falls in love with the bunch's lone female (Jami Gertz). Soon, he finds that he's gradually becoming a vampire himself. An interesting candy-coated meditation on teen conformity with a great rock soundtrack. Sound by Dolby. Filmed in Panavision and Technicolor. Lost Boys Reviews: "...Haim is enormously appealing....Timely, sardonic and shrewd..."
-- Caryn James, New York Times "...[Haim and Feldman] teamed up -- hilariously..." -- Rating: B+
-- Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly "[The film] has dark ambitions...[with] blood-red lighting hues from RAGING BULL cinematographer Michael Chapman."

One of the best vampire movies I saw at a young age when it came out and I loved it then. Years later I said let me watch it again and yes I truly did love it again. This is truly one of the best vampire movies out there. It is good with some funny parts to it. This is a must see. Submitted by Crystal (Jamaica NY) Was This Review Helpful? The best I seen this movie when I was about 12 years old and I love every minute of this movie. It took me long time to find and now that I have it I LOVE IT. This movie is my favorite movie of all time. I can sit down and watch it over and over. To me the movie is more sexy than any other vampire movie I have seen. Most of them now suck and they don't scare you either, neither did this but its a classic. I love it. Submitted by rdnkcntrygl (Va, USA) Was This Review Helpful? ANYONE WHO WOULD BADMOUTH THIS OR JUST ABSOLUTELY THOUGHT THAT THIS MOVIE WAS TERRIBLE NEEDS PULL THERE HEAD OUT OF THERE BUT AND TO GO TO COOLNESS CLASSES BECAUSE THIS MOVIE FREAKING ROCKS. Favorite Movie Of All Time Got Me Hooked On Vampires This is the ultimate vampire movie. Vampires are my passion because of this movie. I can't even count how may times I have seen this flick. I wanted to be just like Star. All the vamps are hot. The soundtrack is sexy and upbeat, just like the movie. Joel Schumacher directed a masterpiece. My motto is Sleep All Day Party All Night. This movie makes you want to be a vampire. It's a must have for those in love with vampires. Vampires rule, and so does this movie! Lost Boys review
$25.79 Chinese writer-director-comedian Stephen Chow (SHAOLIN SOCCER, KUNG FU HUSTLE) takes a break from his usual action-comedy adventures for an E.T.: THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL-inspired tale of family bonds and personal integrity. Chow stars as Ti, a down-on-his luck widower who must funnel all of his wages into the private school education of his nine-year-old son, Dicky (Xu Jiao). The two are reduced to living in an abandoned building and scrounging for necessities, as well as playing nightly games of "clobber the cockroaches." Ti tries to appease Dicky's desire for a trendy new toy by bringing home a mysterious green orb found at a garbage dump. Dicky is soon shocked when the orb transforms into a perky doglike alien being, dubbed "CJ7." When Dicky witnesses CJ7's otherworldly powers he imagines CJ7 to be the answer to all of his school troubles: passing tests, excelling in gym class, and overcoming the school bully. $32.09 Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher star as strangers who wake up a married couple after a crazy night in Las Vegas in director Tom Vaughn's (STARTER FOR 10) feature film. Joy (Diaz) is the type of woman who makes plans to make plans. She's expecting a marriage proposal, but her live-in boyfriend, Mason (Jason Sudeikis), has other ideas. When he dumps her, Joy heads to Vegas to forget her troubles with her friend Tipper (Lake Bell) and discovers her fun, spontaneous side. Unfortunately, she also wakes up with recently unemployed Jack (Kutcher) as her husband. The two quickly decide to divorce, but the plot thickens when Jack wins a $3 million slot jackpot using Joy's quarter. Since neither one of them wants to give up the cash, they each try to drive the other to file for divorce and give up the bounty. But love has a funny way of appearing when you least expect it, and in acting their worst, Joy and Jack actually bring out the best in each other.
Diaz and Kutcher have nice ...
| | Mamma Mia! Blu-ray (2008) Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled; DTS Sound
Lost Boys DVD
$30.09 After its run as a West End hit in London, MAMMA MIA became a Broadway smash when it opened in New York back in 2001. With a story framed around the music of the Swedish pop band Abba, crowds loved its raucous, dance party vibe. Now it comes to the silver screen, with some truly delightful performances from the likes of Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. It is the story of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) a young woman living on a picturesque Greek island with her mother, Donna (Streep.) Together, Donna and Sophie run a ramshackle island inn, and they are in the midst of preparing for Sophie's wedding. As the wedding approaches, Sophie becomes troubled by the fact that she has never known her father. She was the result of one of her mother's summer flings, and her mother has never revealed her father's identity. When Sophie stumbles upon her mother's diary, she learns that there are three possible men who could be her dad. Without telling her mother, she invites all three to her wedding. When Harry (Colin Firth), Sam (Brosnan), and Bill (Stellan Skarsgard) all arrive at the same time, Donna is of course shocked and overwhelmed by seeing her old lovers again after such a long time. She turns to her two best friends, Tanya (Christine Baranaki) and Rosie (Julia Walters), for their support, and vows to just get through the wedding and weekend. Meanwhile, Sophie spends time with each man, determined to learn the truth.
Major hijinks and confusion ensues, all amidst the utterly romance scenery, and the rather irresistible, swelling love ballads. Streep has a lovely singing voice, and to watch her throw herself into this whimsical role is ...

| | This Is Spinal Tap Blu-ray (1984) Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled
Lost Boys video
$26.59 A brilliant and hilarious documentary-style satire of a has-been British heavy metal band who never really was on an absurd American comeback tour that never quite gets off the ground, THIS IS SPINAL TAP practically birthed the mockumentary style. Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer are David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls, respectively--three clueless, self-absorbed men who form the nucleus of Spinal Tap, aging purveyors of overwrought songs with titles such as "Big Bottom," "Smell the Glove," and "Sex Farm." Shot in faux cinema verité-style with director Rob Reiner as fictional filmmaker Marty DiBergi, the film lampoons just about every rock & roll cliché (not to mention every rockumentary cliché) in ...
