Tony records his songs at the famous Hijack Studios in England and he plays guitars and keyboards. He is joined on the recordings by his friends Nigel Clark (himself the lead singer with classic Brit-pop band Dodgy) on bass and Darren Finlan on drums. Nigel's pitch-perfect lead vocals and gorgeous harmonies will send a shiver down your spine.

Modern Power PopTony Cox is like a musical Dr. Frankenstein. He got his masters degree in 60's Sunshine Pop, with a minor in modern stylings. On his debut album "Unpublished", the harmonies are vintage, the hooks are aplenty, and the performances are spot on.

Hailing from the UK, the sound represented here is inspired by both sides of the pond. You would almost swear this were a collaboration between Brian Wilson and John Lennon. But where others have failed in recreating that glorious sound, Tony Cox succeeds in updating it for the kids of today. I'm certain that "Fallen" is a lost Beatles recording. Tony has raided the Lennon family vaults and stolen an undiscovered demo. Although the previous statement in completely false, it's hard to imagine another explanation. It's soaring melody and jangly guitars are unmistakably "fab". "Sacred Woman" is similarly steeped in British Invasion territory. The harmonies and lyrical content displayed on this track would bring The Zombies back from the dead. The same can be said for the majority of the tunes found on this sparkly disc. It is refreshing to be able to listen to an album made in 2009 that marries itself so lovingly with 60's Power Pop.
