Whether performing at the "Gypsy Bar" in Atlantic City's premier Borgata Hotel Spa and Casino, or at many of the top festivals, clubs and venues throughout the East Coast, each George Wesley show offers a unique experience to the audience. George Henry Wesley III was born in Northeastern,PA to a country western singer/guitar player and spent time in his band as a youth learning the ropes. Soon his music went to rock.. (Total Chaos... his 1st high school rock band experience),Grateful Dead improv..(Dead Branch Band), country-rock reggae fusion..(Small Axe) then jazz rock pop fusion..(Second Wind). In 1983 George moved to Central New York and teamed up with an old friend,Don Rogers to form the rockin' reggae " Wesley Rogers Band" .They recorded with Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare (The Riddim Twins) and toured until disbanding in 1988. At this time George moved back to Northeastern PA and played solo. Soon guests were coming on stage turning into "The George Wesley Project" Through the many guest musicians came former Wesley Rogers bandmate David "Ikril"Walker guesting on drums. On a tour to Florida,Ikril brought his friend Evon "Laza" Lazarus(bass) from his old Jamaican band "Soul,Power and Sound". Musical magic happened. IRIETATIONS!!! George Wesley and The Irietations gained quick recognition and were sponsored by Jamaica's Red Stripe Beer from 1990-92.He also recorded with Eddy Grant in 1990. Most recently George has been recognized and endorsed by Martin Guitar of Nazareth, PA and selected by them to work on some of their newest products like the Martin "X-Midi" guitar. George is honored to be included on Martins list of famous owners and thanks them for their support of the last album project"When I'm Next To You,I Feel Lucky" through their contribution of Sting's acoustic bass and Tom Petty's 12-string from the Martin museum. George has been touring the East Coast for over two decades now. In that time he has opened for long list of spectacular artists and bands that include The Wailers, Santana, Black Uhuru and Al Jardine. Currently George is doing solo reggae dub MIDIguitar synth looping shows (The Small Axe Orchestra) and touring as a trio featuring Chris Condel (of Capt. Zig and S.I.R.S.)on drums and vocals and Peter Fritz (of The Octave Below) on bass. Incorporating MIDI guitar synth to access a plethora of sounds and live loops this trio sounds "MASSIVE!"Since the release of "Hold On" the band has added Angelo Miraglia (of The Octave Below....featured in Relix magazine) ..boards and Annette Miraglia (Angelo's mom ) on percussion and vocals to make an even more incredible sound! "Wesley carves his own musical territory. Hold On songs
$9.29 It was the Spring of 2004 and a band of seasoned musicians were searching for a new singer and a new identity. While jamming in the garage, the band began working on molding and shaping what would later become a band of brothers. Upon firing their singer, the call went out for a new frontman with fire, grace, and the balls to lead a "new" band out of the ashes of its former self. After many auditions that man would be Michael. Michael, along with Jeremy Acito, David Leach, and Dave Russell, would bring to life a band called "8 Red Eyes". One week later the rehearsals began and the first original song was born. That opened the flood gates of creativity. Within a month there was approximately eight new songs and a strong sense of urgency to hit the studio and begin recording a five song self-titled demo. In the summer of 2004, 8 Red Eyes invaded Lakeridge Studios to begin laying tracks for their first EP. From the very first note, excitement poured out of each member knowing they were one step closer toward their intended goal, getting our music out to the masses. Through broken guitar strings, all night sessions of guitar leads, and a few busted drum heads, those long sessions in the practice hall were about to pay off. After the recording process was over it was on to Bristol, Tennessee where the final mix and mastering ...
