REAL DOCUMENTARY OF AN UNSTOPPABLE ERA!!! Get Thrashed film FIRST OFF, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE LAME UNAUTHORIZED DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT THE THRASH SCENE THAT GOES NOWHERE. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL, TOLD BY THE BANDS THEMSELVES. By BIG BOBBY P. (Bridgeport, CT, USA)
Ah, nostalgia Get Thrashed review Very cool documentary on the birth of Thrash Metal. You won't learn much if you were lucky enough to be "there" when this incredible music movement began and reached it's peak in the 80s, but it's still cool to relive that important time in metal through the songs, interviews and mostly rare footage. By Fred (Milwaukee, WI)
Get disappointed Briefly- I was somewhat disappointed by this documentary after looking forward to its release. I thought the histories of the bands were glossed over. By Scott (Damascus, MD USA)

Get Thrashed traces the rise, fall and impact of thrash metal; from its early years, through its influence on grunge, nu metal and today's heavy metal scene. It is the story of the heaviest, hardest music of the 80s and early 90s as told by the bands who lived it, the fans and bands that grew up on it and by the artists that carry the "thrash metal" flag today. The documentary throws new light on an overlooked, yet incredible music scene and how it went from a simple rumbling in the underground to a loud, obnoxious and constant roar in the (almost) mainstream.
