Formed in 2005, The Blood Red Mountain Band draw influence everywhere from Ryan Adams to Bonnie Prince Billy and have been described as ‘Arcade Fire meets Bob Dylan’. The eclectic line-up features no less than eight members, playing a vast array of instruments; Mark Flynn (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Martina Leonard (vocals, glockenspiel, melodica), Tracy O’Grady (fiddle), Joeby Browne (bass & backing vocals), Ian Devlin (lead guitar, charango, mandolin), Dave Keegan (drums), and the recent additions of Brian Duggan (Trumpet) and Lindy-Sue Dredge (Accordian). The result is what local and national Irish Press have described as ‘an enticing home-brew of traditional music and left-field rock’, ‘remarkable’ and ‘top notch’.The Blood Red Mountain Band used their raw and refreshing live shows to build a reputation as one of the best festival bands in town. To date they have featured at numerous high profile Irish festivals (e.g. Electric Picnic, Festival of World Cultures, Launch of Galway Arts Festival). Having also gained national media coverage, such as playing live on radio (Today FM, Newstalk FM and Phantom FM), the band have go on to work with established producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes, Fionn Regan), who has now produced their eponymous debut EP due for independent release on May 23rd. Blood Red Mountain Band EP music CDs
$12.55 Although for the rest of his life, underinformed fans of 1990s pop will forever be calling Darius Rucker "Hootie," the former Hootie & the Blowfish singer-songwriter makes his solo debut with a perfectly credible take on mainstream contemporary Nashville country. The laid-back, largely acoustic folk-pop of Hootie & the Blowfish was never that far removed from ...

Blood Red Mountain Band EP album
$14.75 If there's a candidate for the Eagles of the 21st century, it's surely Rascal Flatts, with their seamless blend of country, rock, and pop, and their discography of multi-platinum albums hitting the top of both the country and pop charts. Their sixth album, UNSTOPPABLE, makes the aforementioned blend so smooth that only the most stubborn pigeonholer would still label them a country act. If not for the recurring pedal-steel swells and the occasional vocal twang, there'd be nothing keeping UNSTOPPABLE from being a straight-up mainstream pop album. ...

$16.15 Kim Bold: Musician, Writer, Teacher Sounds, Stories and Songs for the SoulAn Aural EdenKim Bold is a teacher, musician and author with a rare artistic gift in today’s fast-paced and high-tech world. She creatively taps into the living vibrations within Mother Earth and all living things. With each sentence, each tone and every musical note, she creates a garden of sounds, stories and songs for the soul – an aural Eden. Kim combines musical talent with the gift of storytelling to reawaken one to their life source. She opens an “inner book” re-introducing awareness of the true being dormant within us all. Kim believes that we are all natural musicians and artists and music is the result of enlightenment. However, she has a special connection with the natural world which allows her to offer inspiration and insight through combining creative writing and musical compositions. A Connection to GaiaFor Kim, earth is one giant living organism, or Gaia. Her gift of storytelling coupled with her mastery of woodwind instruments yields a masterful musical journey. It’s an adventure filled with messages of healing that permeate the soul and provide intensive healing and deep insight. This is what music was always meant to be as a natural extension of human experience. Just as the Shaman and magical musicians of ancient times, Kim brings humankind back to its basal need for imagery. In both an auditory and visual sense, she re-establishes a connection to Gaia in our subconscious minds.A Seed is PlantedRaised in New Mexico, music and storytelling have always been an innate part of Kim’s life. She began her love of writing and telling stories as a young child and music always filled her home. Her mother was a music instructor and church pianist and each of her four sisters played an instrument. This early and constant exposure to music and instruments would prove vital in Kim’s development as an artist. Her first instrument, at the age of ten, was the acoustic guitar. However, woodwind instruments would become her true love, and she began studying the clarinet at age eleven. Kim’s eventual mastery of the clarinet became the foundation of her implementation and an ever-growing appreciation of native flutes.Hearing Gaia's CallKim continued mastering the clarinet well into college at Texas Tech University where she was trained in Classical ...
