Voice, AKA Derrick Myers, was born December 4th, to Patricia and Marc Myers. He was raised by only his father until he was 8, due to his mother\'s alcohol abuse. Voice was later forced to live with his mother because of a drug conviction on his father, which moved him to Tennesse. His mother was in a violent relationship with her second husband, which forced Voice and his mother to leave everything they owned and live in and out of shelter\'s for abused mothers for almost two years. Voice ended up changing schools almost 7 times in one year, spawning a social retreat within himself, sending him to his only refuge; his notebook. They ended up finding a very small 2 bedroom house to rent from, but the city was a lot for his mother to handle him by herself, and Voice was getting out of control very quickly. With a major rap-sheet building, she realized that she could no longer control him, so she sent him to live with his father back in Ohio by the age of 16. It was too late for Voice, though... by age 17, Voice was charged with an Aggravated Robbery, which sent him to Prison until he reached the age of 23. During his time in prison, Voice developed a talent for \"Battling\", a rap term often used to describe a war with words. Most people who got involved with these battles were\'nt too happy about one person always beating them so badly, so they came up with a new twist in the battling scene: Tag-Team Battles. There was usually one guy, battling up to 3 people at one time: no rules, and no time limit. Voice maintained his composure, and was victorious most of the time. It earned him a title, and the name of \"Voice\". People would tell him, \"Man, everytime you say somethin\', people just shut up and listen. It\'s like you\'re speakin\' for them... like, you\'re the voice of the nation or somethin\'...\" Uninvited Music | Category | Rap Albums | | Label | Voice | | CD Universe Part number | 7709505 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jun 13, 2008 |

Uninvited album
$14.30 Just half a year from the release of the mysteriously unauthorized catalog clearinghouse/label kiss off Murder Was the Case, Gucci Mane returns with The State vs. Radric Davis, his latest on Warner Bros.' Asylum imprint. True to form, the bling-loving rapper brings the club-ready Dirty South rap, complete with trunk-rattling bass and trademark synths. Featuring production by Drumma Boy, Mannie Fresh, Shawty Redd, and Scott Storch, amongst others, it's no surprise that the album is able to perfectly capture the low and slow Southern sound. Some of the best beats come by way of Bangladesh (producer on the ...

Uninvited music CDs
$15.34 He may be a veteran rapper, but by 2009, Birdman was better known and more active as a label owner, mostly because he was the label owner, manager, and mentor of hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne. As such, Birdman's Pricele$$ doesn't display a new set of skills when it comes to rapping and writing, but it does present the stone-cold millionaire as a more assured man, extremely comfortable to be on top and in charge of the now innovative and interesting Cash Money. If Birdman doesn't take lyrical chances, Wayne and Cash Money upstart Drake are more than ...

Uninvited music CDs
$16.39 One wonders when getting something that is done posthumously, why wasn't it released before? Is it of inferior quality? Is there something the artist didn't like about it? Is it just to make a buck on the death of the artist? Rest assured, in this case, this is not done just to cash in on the name -- this work will stand with the music he produced while he was alive. These cuts were taken from various studio sessions over a 12-year stretch; the last three songs are taken from a live television special from 1989. The songs cover a variety of the flavors of guitar work that Gatton enjoyed playing and experimenting with. It is hung together with his phenomenal guitar work -- it's a wonder that anyone could be doing what he is doing with only two hands -- but, interestingly, since his death his legend has grown within the circles in which he was already known and has not spread a great deal further. Listen to the incredible work he does on "Pretty Blue." Before you get settled into a groove, he hits you with three rockabilly tunes that he loved to do, including "Dancin' Shoes," which he wrote with Billy Windsor (who did the vocals on this disc). If you happen to be into speed, see if your favorite guitar picker can play as fast and clean as Gatton. This man, though little-known, deserves some recognition for his blending ...
