| Pasolini's religious masterpiece
Basically, the title is self-explanatory: the gospel according to the Scriptures, about Jesus, in the book of St. Matthew. This was Pasolini's first major production - Accatone was his debut.

| Poor video quality
The content of this disc is very good--very different from hollywood's depiction of anything biblical. Unfortunately the video quality is very poor--there was little or no restoration on this film--lots of scratches, dirt, etc.
