Thompson has been nominated for the 2007 Caribbean Gospel Awards.KathyAnn Patricia Belgrave-Thompson was born in Barbados,to the proud parents of Evangelist and Deacon Theophilus Belgrave. She grew up in Upper Weston, the parish of St.James with four siblings: one sister and three brothers. After migrating to the United States there she would be sister to three more siblings: one biological and two adopted. At the tender age of five, while attending the Carlton New Testament Church of God in St.James, Barbados the late Pastor Hoyte prophesied over KathyAnn's life, declaring that she would have a Ministry in singing. KathyAnn's calling to this Ministry began taking shape in those early days as she sang as a solist, and a small group and choral member at Harvest, Christmas and other programs.After migrating to the United States with her family in 1981, KathyAnn continued her singing ways in church. She soon then attended The National Church Of God under the leadership of Dr.Rev.Mark Carrington, she has been attending this church ever since. It was during this time at The National Church Of God that KathyAnn decided to dive headlong into God's work and the pursuit of her Ministry in song.
