| beautifully filmed powerful visual meditation on man
terence malick seems to appeal to only a certain audience. i am amazed how people either love his work or despise it. obviously i am a big supporter. i have seen two other works by malick the thin red line and days of heaven and enjoyed those movies as well. this movie is told in a series of episodes rather than the usual narrative of most movies. it is more of a reflection rather than a story. it is a movie that is more like a work of art rather than a plot driven story. i believe their are enough elements to engage the mind while the story appeals to one's spirit. i love this man's work and find the long gaps between projects are well worth the wait if he continues to deliver such extraordinary achievements as this great picture
