Catie Curtis has been releasing albums since the mid-1990s, but it wasn't until this 2008 release, whose songs have been featured on popular TV shows, that she began garnering the sort of press and critical attention she deserves. Curtis has an uncanny knack for writing uplifting, positive folk tunes that don't cloy, and includes smart covers like Death Cab for Cutie's "Soul Meets Body" to an already rich track list.

Sweet Life songs
$6.69 Bang Bang Eche formed the day after three of the kids got arrested for LARPing in public. Centered on a mutual love for dinosaurs and cartoons, the trio began practicing across the road from a homeless shelter in big, bad Christchurch, New Zealand. After playing ten shows to sold-out crowds at local venue "Party Central," Charlie, Josh and James recruited T'Nealle and Zach as security. T'Nealle was chosen due to her notoriety in underground fighting circles and Zach was picked because he was the only person with a driver's license.Over the next few months Bang Bang Eche began fusing their bouncers into their performances and the band grew to a five piece, with T'Nealle taking up the bass guitar and Zach becoming lead sermonizer. On T'Nealle's insistence that the bang get "more brutal," the band began to write ...
| | Constance Demby-Live In Tokyo CD (2008)
Sweet Life album
$11.39 EXCLUSIVE EUROPEAN IMPORT - "Live in Tokyo" is both a CD and a DVD. The combination of high-level studio production, excellent sound quality, Demby's inspired music, and exquisitely crafted Japanese artistry, make this a rare and classic work of art."Gorgeously expansive synths-based music...you'll hear the whole world of Constance Demby open up before you like no other recording before it."-Andy Garibaldi - Dead Earnest CD Reviews"While there are many pretenders to the throne, listeners can be sure that the music of Constance Demby is the real thing. Few artists express the majesty and grandeur of the spiritual realms as eloquently as Constance on her numerous recordings. There are precious few concert DVDs CDs of this genre of music on the market, and even less filmed at this level of sophistication. Highly recommended." - M. Diamond, New Frontiers"Warm analogue layers of string synths ... Deep resonating bass ... Layers of melodies that float and flow ... Demby's soaring, wordless chants ... An expansive choral quality that you hear in cathedrals as the music fills the air, creating the magical spells that can only be found in such places." - Dead Earnest CD Reviews'Live in Tokyo" is Constance's best kept secret! I find it right in the same league with "Novus Magnificat" and "Set Free" which are my favorites (so far). It would be hard to find music that is more spiritually uplifting and transcendent.” - Brother David LandryCaptured during Demby's tour of Tokyo, the magic of this Summer Solstice concert was filmed by a ten-man camera team with multiple cameras (on the ceiling, on the keyboards, etc) in a grand hall filled with magnificent temples, sculptures and works of art. The special effects, close-up shots of the artist in action, the stunning visuals, Demby's inspired music, and the sublime Japanese artistry, all combine to make this a classic work of art. "For years I have been enjoying Constance Demby's music, from Novus Magnificat to Set Free to Aeterna and Attunement, to name just a few albums. Live in Tokyo begins with an ancient, eastern serenity found in mystical locales such as snow-capped mountain tops surrounded by breaking clouds at golden twilight, or the mist-laden hills of a vibrant bamboo forest, ...
