"Music has always influenced every aspect of my life. I grew up in Richmond, Virginia and spent my early years dancing and singing the Barney song for anyone who would listen. Even when I started my modeling career at two years old I wanted to have the music playing to strike a pose. My parents would take me to a variety of concerts and Broadway Shows everywhere including New York City and London. I danced for 6 years at Broadway Dance Center without air-conditioning. I associated music with life experiences and happy moments. I started taking piano lessons at my school in Richmond, found myself a member of the National Guild, and learned that music can be created in addition to being learned. Soon I began writing music and adding lyrics. I started recording in a Richmond Studio when I was 11. I was fascinated with the process and the artistry of making records. I recorded my first original songs after moving to Los Angeles when at 13 I was discovered at a local dance studio. I was asked to meet a top A & R executive at Capitol Records and sing for him. Little did I know it would grow into a transforming musical adventure! I was introduced to Adrienne Bailon, a member of Disney’s Cheetah Girls/3LW and got to cut my first song with her. I was elated that Infant Records picked up 2 of the songs. Suddenly, I saw myself on iTunes and was being followed by ABC Primetime Live, 20/20 and was asked to appear on Good Morning America. I still continue to train my voice and master my dance steps at various studios, including Millennium, knowing a career is a journey of continual learning and growing. Currently I have recorded 16 original songs and have starred in and produced three original music videos.” Diandra continues to hone her acting skills in addition ...
| | U F O No Place To Run CD (1980) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Abbattack
$12.45 Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the UK hard rockers' 1980 album including four bonus tracks: 'Gone In The Night' (Alternative Studio Version) plus live versions of 'Lettn' Go', 'Mystery Train' and 'No Place To Run'. This was UFO's eighth studio album and the first featuring Paul Chapman on guitar as Michael Schenker's replacement. These changes signaled a fresh new sound (aided by none other than super-star producer George Martin) and consequently the album reached #11 in January of 1980. EMI. 2009.
Personnel: Paul Chapman (guitar); Andy Parker (drums); Ludwig (percussion). Audio Mixers: Geoff Emerick; UFO. Audio Remasterer: Peter Mew. Liner Note Author: Malcolm Dome. The first studio recording after the departure of guitarist Michael Schenker, No Place to Run, with its midtempo guitar rock, bore much more of a resemblance to '70s rockers like Bad Company than the coming NWOBHM. Fellow Brits like Def Leppard were cultivating a similar but much more exciting brand of simple, angular hard rock built for the millions of AC/DC-loving Americans, while UFO seemed to be chasing their stylistic tail. Tracks like "This Fire Burns Tonight" call to mind Jackson Brown-styled adult ...
