| Led Zeppelin's closest/greatest competitor...
A number of sources (which I can't quote off the top of my head) have stated that during 1971-1972 there were 2 bands battling it out for the title of THE rock supergroup: Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.

Fireball is one of my DP favourites, with Machine Head, Who do... and Perfect Strangers. The extra-songs "Slow Train" and "Freedom" are powerful!
