An album that refuses to curl up in one convenient metal genre box, THE INCURABLE TRAGEDY draws on the entire spectrum to create music that is powerful and dramatic, yet cohesive. The athletic fretwork, twisting leads, and yowling operatic vocals of classic power metal are immediately recognizable on songs like the unstoppable "Tides of Blood," but elsewhere the clean vocals are swapped out for the guttural growls of death as the guitars stiffen up into pummeling riffs. Shifting once again, there is even a trio of soft, elegiac balladry, "The Incurable Tragedy I, II, and III," that builds off of shimmering piano and synthesizer. In the end, all this healthy ecelcticism leads to an indefinable yet propulsive Canadian metal that wails and thrashes in equal measure.
Personnel: Tim Roth (vocals, guitar); Troy Bleich (vocals, bass guitar); Stu Block (vocals); Justin Bender (guitar); Steve Bolognese (drums).
Kerrang (Magazine) (p.50) - "[T]he band maintain a dramatically up-tempo, riff-driven attack, propelling rather than dwelling on the evidently tear-soaked lyrics." Incurable Tragedy album
$10.15 Into Eternity's Dead or Dreaming is loaded with great musical moments sure to please fans of death metal and progressive rock alike. One of the band's great strengths is the variety of vocal styles they employ ("clean" and "death" vocals, as the liner notes indicate), ...
| | Into Eternity Buried In Oblivion CD (2004)
Incurable Tragedy CD music
$10.49 ''A musical mixture of skull-splintering aggression and razor-edged finesse'' - Revolver. A must for fans of Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Death, Cynic, nevermore and Opeth. Ten tracks. Century Media. 2004.
The first impression one gets of Buried in Oblivion is a pointlessly technical and flashy dual-guitar wank that should have anyone but a selected niche of prog metal lovers rolling their eyes and contemplating the skip button. However, those familiar with Into Eternity's brand of melodic melting-pot death-thrash-prog know to hold fast for the inevitable stylistic shifts that litter this Canadian band's output. And while less capable hands striving for complexity in arrangements tend to betray their creators' struggles with attention deficit ...

$12.79 U.K. version features a track, "I Know," that is not found on U.S. edition.
Skits notwithstanding, Ashanti's sophomore album is a confident leap away from her self-titled debut. She makes the most of her lightweight, breathy voice, incorporating airy, summery, string-laced arrangements in a variety of settings that go down extremely smoothly even, as in "Living My Life," when they're about that thorniest of topics, ...

Incurable Tragedy music CDs
$25.35 FFN is one of the bands that came into public conscience in Romania in the 1970s. Having begun attracting attention while playing in concert, they showcased their talent through the release of some very successful singles followed by the appearance of three albums in the period 1975-1980. A short history of FFN begins with the year 1971. They began working together in “Club A”, a student Architecture Club in Bucharest . Each of the members came from other well-known rock bands, and their coming together signaled the creation of a “super group”. It was a happy coincidence, maybe also because the ‘super group’ was fashionable at the time, in the early 70s. The initial members were: Cristi Madolciu – lead singer, guitar, percussion (coming from Sfera and Dynacord), Florin Dumitru – drums (Modern Group, Phoenix and Mondial), Doru Donciu (vocals, flute (Coral), Gabi Litvin – lead guitar, vocals (Barzii and Mondial), Silviu Olaru – bass guitar (Grup 22 and Andantino) and Radu Stoica – vocals (Mondial), Serban Bolintineanu – keyboards (Grup 22 and Dynacord). Right at the very beginning of their formation, Radu Stoica and Serban Bolintineanu left the new band. Thus a five-member FFN band was to be a magic formula from the first album “Zece Pasi” until 1978. In-between the second album “Zi cu Zi” and the third, “Un Joc”, one other change occurred. Doru Donciu left and was replaced by Marcel Navala – vocals, bass guitar (Modern Grup and Romanticii). Silviu then switched over to the second lead guitar. The third album represented another shift in dynamics. Florin Dumitru and Marcel Navala departed from the band and another member joined the core FFN – Lucian Rusu ...
| | Jim Hinde Shout Down The Wind: Songs Of Peace Protest & Patr CD (2005)
Incurable Tragedy songs
$18.99 There is a war going on. This is a wartime album. The soul of America is at stake. This is our country, our government, and our responsibility. It is time to take a stand, raise a voice. These are hard songs for hard times, and by far the hardest album I have ever produced.Janet Hinde, thank you for making me look so good on the cover of this album. Your hand touched this entire project, from conceptualization to delivery of the freight, and all you get is a photo credit. You are my soul mate and my strength, and a Saint for putting up with me; not just on this album, but for the past twenty-five years. I love you, and if you're up for it, I'll take another twenty-five, this time without the kids. Speaking of the kids . . . hey Katie, thanks for all the assistance you have given over the years, helping with songs, selling CDs at concerts, and making me laugh. Nate, thank you for running sound for me and educating me on hip-hop music. If you're up for it, and not too busy with your own project, we really must collaborate on that song for the next album. I love you both.Instrumental in this production were, of course, the instrumentalists. Scott Law, you are a guitar artist, music professional, and a gentleman. You helped me with my first album, Freedom Road, and have been helping me in the studio and onstage ever since. Will Dowd, you are a master percussionist, musician, sound engineer, teacher, and a joy to work with. I can only attempt to describe you, Bob Crosby, as a Renaissance man; author, poet, scholar, mentor, philosopher, and tenor. I have been honored to sing with you for the past ten years, and this is the first time that our respective schedules have allowed us into the studio together. I cannot thank all of you guys enough. As usual, ...
