Very amusing, artistic work by a very funny band!
Social mockery in music form at its very best by a band that deserves more recognition than it appears to be getting!

Yeah,Cracker can easily pose as a countryband, and their covers are great.Yet im glad they dont do it all the time.Still a worthwhile purchase.

Cracker come clean!
Finally the mighty Cracker release an album of music we have always thought lurked inside them. Not really country, country rock, alt country or cowpunk just the ironic brilliance of Mr Lowery and Mr Hickman in a western vein. The last track "It aint gonna suck itself" is worth the price of admission alone. Outstanding!

highly recommended
excellent! if you are a cracker fan, are attracted to many types of music, classic country and rockabilly being two, you will love this album. the lyrics are perfectly satirical and extremely clever. the music is a refreshing conglomeration of familiar and very catching styles blended flawlessly and tight. the cover of hank williams jr.'s "family tradition" was a great choice for this album and pays due homage to one of the great classic country songs from the one and only. this is the first cd in a long time and maybe ever that i not only listened to all the way through but but let my player scroll back around after track eight for a second run...and it sounded even better! i now have the urge to go catch the guys live, having not seen them since south by southwest in the early 90's. no doubt you will too.
