| | Ice Cube Essentials CD Ice Cube Discography of CDs
Ice Cube's ESSENTIALS package (a complement of sorts to his GREATEST HITS CD from 2001) skews toward the expectations of commercial audiences, and in that respect, displays his uncanny ability to deliver several monster hits over 20 years, even when the West Coast brand of gangsta bravado had fallen out of favor among record buyers. Any compilation that contains a slew of solid classics like "Rollin' With The Lench Mob," "It Was A Good Day," and "Check Yo Self" is worth investigating. And what's more remarkable is how latter-day cuts like "Go To Church" and "Ghetto Vet" integrate themselves seamlessly without unfavorably calling attention to the high energy of his earlier albums. Essentials
$11.05 (saxophone, keyboards, vocals); Abdul Raoof (trumpet, flugelhorn,

Simpson (bass, vocals); James Earl Jones III (drums, vocals); Jerome "JT"
All songs written by James Harris III and Terry Lewis except "Take Your Time (Do It Right)" (Harold Clayton/Sigidi) and "What's Wrong With Our Love Affair?" (Jason Bryant).
Like all greatest-hits or best-of compilations, this one is missing some key ingredients, namely "S.O.S. (Dit Dit Dit Dat Dat Dat Dit Dit Dit)" and "Just the Way You Like It." Since the band didn't record tons of material and was only active a short time, the omissions are hard to fathom. It's not like they didn't have room on the CD; only ten songs are compiled here. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are well represented with eight songs. Despite the omissions, this is still good listening. Mary ...

He produces his own tracks and self confident enough to prove his tracks are pure and genuine. The meaning of(Mon),means, Uncut Verses, carzy ideals, lyrically wild. Then (Starr), wherever he goes everyone knows they are in presence of a star. When he is compared to the west and east coast, he replies? "I am bi-Coastal, I'm just trying to be in my own little zone." He gives thanks to GOD Almighty. He has showcased his talent at several talent showcases in Hollywood, California, at Studio 56 and he performed at the Century Club. He performed in front of (Joe Jackson) and several other entertainment (A&Rs). He also performs at community functions called (Delancy Street) in San Francisco rehabilitory programs for people who went to prison and to turn their lives around. He rocks the crowd with his rap style and with Hot Production. We were talking to Ruff Ryders C.E.O's about a record deal.On Albums , Monstarr's presence is very much a personal one.He raps, not afraid to reveal himself on a track. He wantsto portray himself as energetic, creative producer and rap artist through his tracks. "If I can't explain it from my own point of view, then I have no business talking about it anyways." He pauses to consider his next point."On another level, thought it can't be all that personal;because if you look at life,we're all going through the same things. If ...
