Pretty close to perfect
Slave to the Grind in my mind was a perfect CD. This came pretty close. New Generation, Thick As The Skin, Lamb, I Remeber You Two - they all jam. Johnny Solinger is an awesome vocalist. Musically, lyricly & vocally this CD is a killer. A must have in a Skid Row CD collection.

Bach who?
Thickskin songs I was a fan of the old Skid Row prior to Bach leaving... have seen Skid Row live with Bach and with new singer. Have also seen Bach solo. I much prefer the new Skid Row. Johnny has a better voice than Bach. Bach is too much into himself and doesn't sound anything like he did with the old Skid Row (aged voice?). I wouldn't waste another $10 seeing him again BUT I will spend $10 to see the new and MUCH IMPROVED Skid Row again and again and again....

Forget Bach, they're back
This album totally rocks. My only hang up is their remake of I remember you. Other than that the old skid row trade mark sound is in tact and this album is in the same viens as Slave to the grind. Definitelty recommended!!!

Very Good
Thickskin album for sale well, i've been reading all other reviews here and i just wanted to say how narrow minded most of those people are. Thickskin CD music Skid Row was( and still is) one of my top five bands. I don't think there could ever be an album like "slave... " on the face of the world again. But obviously those days are over. it's the saddest thing to me as well as many others but we have to admit that and make our judgements in that perspective. To me, Skid Row has done the best possible rock'n'roll music with this cd. Again, if you're expecting another "slave. ." you'll be so dissopointed. I've been following these guys for a certain period of time and more or less know what they've been through. Even if they wanted to make another "slave. ."., it was so hard for them to find a label to release it. that's why they've opened up their own record label company even for this cd( just because record label guys think that music was too hard for these days). these facts may not bother you but i just wanted to bring somethings to surface other than music which are quite infuential on music itself. so at the end of the day, this is the best skid row music that fans could get under these circumstances, and to be honest 4-5 songs are really from the "slave. ." era and other are definetely above average. one minor note: Johnny solinger really and fully fills the shoes that Sebastian has left behind. .4 stars because, after experiencing "slave. ."., 5 stars is the top of the world.
