Phil Krawczuk: Living on the Mountain“Your music's color is very changeable depends on location and mood, it makes sense?Every moment .... Different feeling.............. It's very hard to explain.”Quote: Jin Seo (South Korea)Stellar performances, complex arrangements draw you in. This CD was inspired and written at Emerald Ridge Studio which is located on the mountain overlooking the beautiful Fraser Valley in BC, Canada. These songs are really a compilation of influence from all of my favorite music which spawns from the likes of the Beatles, The Who, Miles Davis, all the greats, to the art rock and fusion of the 70s and 80s. As you listen though the CD you can hear different influences weave in and out of these artist original pieces of music. | | Tord Gustavsen Changing Places CD (2003)
Living On The Mountain CD music
$14.59 This release signals in the then 33-year old, Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen's debut outing for the ECM Records label. His fellow compatriots, bassist Harald Johnsen and drummer Jarle Vespestad, round out this jazz piano trio offering. Fundamentally speaking, the group seemingly works its palate into that classic "ECM Records" aesthetic, comprising echo-laden ...

Living On The Mountain album
$11.14 Here is an overlooked gem from a most unlikely source, recorded in a most unlikely genre -- commercial '70s jazz/funk -- just as the disco era was gathering steam. Tom Scott controlled the production, with Severinsen overdubbing all of the brass choruses and occasionally passing his horns through a phase shifter and wah-wah pedal. The coterie of overworked sessionmen from L.A. and NYC -- Richard Tee, Eric Gale, Lee Ritenour, Anthony Jackson, Ralph MacDonald, etc. -- work this session as you would expect, with the danceable beat always in mind. Yet they pulled off a great, thoroughly musical record because the tunes are often uncommonly ...
| | Peter White Glow CD (2001)
Living On The Mountain CD music
$7.59 This is a multi-channel Super Audio CD playable only on Super Audio CD players.
More than most jazz lite artists, Peter White flaunts a restless improvisational sense, which is fully evident on Glow. Aside from a few incidental fills tossed into the breeze by this or that horn player, this is entirely White's show. His performance on all these tracks, typically over a backdrop of gauzy major-seventh string pads, provides a lesson in long-form jamming against a steady, sensuous backbeat, with octave passages and a buoyant rhythm feel that echo Wes Montgomery. Despite these similarities, White displays a distinctive sound, with blues and Spanish influences perfuming his romantic phrases. The original material is unmemorable, and even such familiar titles as "Just My Imagination" and "Who's That Lady" stretch into one- or two-chord vamps that serve as broad thoroughfares for ...

Living On The Mountain songs
$12.69 Sadanya is a very energetic young lady. She loves to share her energy, feelings, and experiences with others. Through the two things she loves most, singing and writing, she is able to do so. Singing and writing is her passion and her way of life. Sadanya was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She began singing and writing poetry at age eight. Her poetry later transformed into song writing. In 1994 Sadanya signed a record contract with Permanent Records for a song called, "No More Lines". Sadanya was responsible for writing the lyrics and arranging this song. She also sang all vocals on the record. When asked what it was like to be part of such a project, this is what Sadanya had to say: "It was an honor and a pleasure to work with such a great songwriter, producer, and singer as Glenn "Sweety G" Toby. He had just written a song for Sybil "You're the Love Of My Life", and signed such great musicians as Dwayne D Kerr, who is currently on tour with Erika Badu, to his label, Permanent Records. Everyone was so supportive, and David Knight, who had just engineered one of SWV's projects, worked so diligently to make sure I came out of the studio with the best sound I could possibly have. All in all, it was truly a blessed experience."When asked who inspired her, Sadanya said, "Aretha Franklin has contributed so much to music. She is truly an inspiration and has paved the way for many vocalists who enjoy singing from their ...
