Moving Pictures CD music An incredible stylistic leap for the band, the songs here incorporate reggae, percolating synth and even a new wave-tinged early '80s pop sensibility. "Tom Sawyer," the ultimate alienated-teen saga, is the album's best known song Moving Pictures buy CD music. "Red Barchetta" picks up where 2112 left off with futuristic, sci fi-oriented lyrics. Rush - 'Moving Pictures' (Mercury)
Classic 1981 album CD reissue of the Rush back catalog.Just all around good early '80's arena rock.Still think that "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight" has been WAY over played. My two favorites off 'Moving Pictures' have always been and always will be the awesome "Red Barchetta" and "Witch Hunt".An absolute must-have.

Obviously one of a kind
Some say is the best Rush album, I would say it is along with signals... this is probably the top of their works. Outstanding

This is my favorite Rush album!
"Moving Pictures" is my favorite album from Rush! "Tom Sawyer" is one of my favorite songs. The synth in that song is great! "YYZ", the instrumental song, is the greatest istrumental i've ever heard in my whole life. And "Limelight" is really a hard rock song! The mix does some good to the 80's music. This is also better than "Grace Under Pressure" and "Power Windows". A well-made album Rush! Keep up the good work!!!

Rush at their peak
This is 1 of the all-time greatest rock albums, make no mistake - I love the cover Moving Pictures puns, the Zep-inspired slightly satanic undertone (man in star, red/black color theme, gothic font) so prevalent in rock albums at the time, and the great lyrics. But the music is truly incredible. Neil Peart's performance is one of rock drumming's all-time greatest. The album's first side is flawless. All the musicians are recorded so pristinely that it feels you're in the room with them. Geddy & Alex's arrangements are so trippy yet so commercial that it blows my mind - I wish I was there to watch this album be created. From 2112 - Signals was Rush at their best -> this is Rush at their finest.

"This album drew me into Rush"
I first started to get in to RUSH when I began hearing "Tom Sawyer" and "Red Barchetta on the album rock radio station T-95 in Wichita,Ks.This album just sucked me in and I was a pretty huge fan up until "Power Windows".I'm kind of burned out on most of the album, except for "The Camera Eye" and maybe "Vital Signs". Really their's not a song that doesn't deserve a 10 on a 1-10 scale. This album was definately the peak of this power trio's output. It really peaked my interest in delving into the great album's that preceded it."IN SHORT ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK EFFORT'S IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC"
