This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Enhancements include the "Live Wire" video. Motley Crue: Vince Neil (vocals); Mick Mars (guitar, background vocals); Nikki Sixx (bass); Tommy Lee (drums, background vocals). Recorded at Hit City West, Los Angeles, California. Includes interviews conducted by Alan K. Stout. Digitally remastered by Chris Solem (1999, Future Disc). Audio Mixer: Gordon Fordyce. On their debut album, Mötley Crüe essentially comes across as a bash-'em-out bar band, making up in enthusiasm what they lack in technical skill. Yet that's part of the appeal of Too Fast for Love, a chance to hear the band without the glossy production of their later, most popular work, showcasing their down-and-dirty roots. The fact that pop-metal songwriting was not really a consideration helps the album come off as more genuinely trashy and sleazy, celebrating its own grime with exuberant zest. This is the Crüe playing it lean and mean, effortlessly capturing the tough swagger that often came off a bit more calculated in later years, and it's one of their most invigorating records. [In 1999, the Crüe remastered and reissued Too Fast for Love on their own Motley/Beyond label with four bonus tracks: three interesting previously unreleased songs and a version of the title track with a different intro.] ~ Steve Huey Motley Crue led the early 80's glam metal movement in L.A. Borrowing elements of theatrical arena-rock from Kiss, trashy glam from The New York Dolls, and pop sensibilities from Cheap Trick, the Crue eventually became one of the most popular rock bands of the decade. TOO FAST FOR LOVE, the band's debut, was first released independently but was soon remixed and reissued on Elektra. The music and its message may have been simple, but the metal underground immediately took notice of the Crue and its crude debut, and the group broke into the big-time with its next release, SHOUT AT THE DEVIL. "Live Wire," the rocking tale of an unstoppable, violent street thug, sets the tone for TOO FAST, one of Motley Crue's strongest and most consistent releases. "Come On And Dance," "Merry Go Round," "Starry Eyes," and "On With The Show" are melodic hard rock candy, while "Public Enemy #1," "Take Me To the Top," "Piece of Your Action," and the title track are all unruly rockers. The 1999 re-issue of TOO FAST FOR LOVE contains several previously unreleased bonus tracks, including "Stick To Your Guns" and "Toast of the Town." Too Fast For Love
$12.59 Personnel: James Michael (keyboards, programming, background vocals); Melissa Harding, Marti Frederiksen, Vince Neil (background vocals). Audio Mixers: DJ Ashba; James Michael; Nikki Sixx. Photographer: P.R. Brown. Motley Crue remain a riveting entertainment brand nearly 30 years since their inception. Happily, SAINTS OF LOS ANGELES, the band's first full-length of new material since 1997's uneven GENERATION SWINE, is an overdue return to form. The fat, contemporary production (courtesy of James Michael and DJ Ashba) perfectly suits a set of songs that lyrically reflect the bands infamous history. Much like THE HEROIN DIARIES soundtrack, SAINTS works as as the perfect musical companion to Motley's tell-all biography, THE DIRT. Since their last hit record, 1989's Dr. Feelgood, Mötley Crüe fans have endured countless live albums, "greatest-hits" collections, reissues and B-sides packages, a record with John Corabi on vocals, one with Randy Castillo behind the kit and one with the original lineup that sank with barely a trace (1997's Generation Swine). The most successful ...

Personnel: Vince Neil (vocals, background vocals); Mick Mars (guitars, background vocals); Nikki Sixx (bass instrument, 8-string bass, 12-string bass, background vocals); Tommy Lee (drums, percussion, background vocals); John Webster (keyboard programming). Mötley Crüe's albums were a lot like episodes of Married with Children -- they may not be great works of art, but they can be darn entertaining. With Bob Rock serving as producer, the L.A. headbangers savored the joys of trashy, unapologetically decadent fun on ...

Too Fast For Love
$10.69 This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Enhancements include the "Hell On High Heels" video. Motley Crue: Vince Neil (vocals); Mick Mars (guitar); Nikki Sixx (bass); Randy Castillo (drums). Personnel: Brett Salles, Jewell Peyton, Eric Stratton, Vince Neil, Paul Stratton (vocals); Mick Mars (guitar); Nikki Sixx (bass instrument, background vocals); Randy Castillo (drums); James Michael (background vocals). Audio Mixers: Ed Thacker; Mike Clink. Forget the stylistic dabbling and forced attempts to fit the '90s rock market that plagued Mötley Crüe throughout the decade. New Tattoo is a full-fledged return to their trademark sound: sleazy hard rock with a slight glam tinge (although not quite as much as before). And it's really sleazy, the band apparently having decided to return to their bread and butter with a vengeance. In spite of a couple of sentimental ballads, odes to prostitutes, S&M, erotic-cabaret stars, glue-sniffing trailer-park teenage girls, and even a corny nod to Internet porn dominate ...

Personnel: Vince Neil (vocals, harmonica, background vocals); Mick Mars (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide guitar, background vocals); Tommy Lee (piano, drums, percussion, background vocals); Nikki Sixx (synthesizer, bass guitar, background vocals). Audio Mixer: Duane Baron. Backing away from the mild pseudo-Satanic posturing on parts of Shout at the Devil in favor of a more glammed-up image, Mötley Crüe really began to hit their commercial stride with Theatre of Pain, which broke them on MTV with the power ballad "Home Sweet Home" and a remake of Brownsville ...
