The debut solo album from Digital Underground front man Shock G, Fear Of A Mixed Planet takes you on a conscious journey through the mind of a living Hip Hop legend. Shock G lays down smooth vocals, killer rhymes, and always-witty but thoughtful poetry over melodic, almost futuristic beats. From receiving a Cherry Flava\'d Email to riding the Cinnamon Waves, this album is an instant classic. This Bonus Edition comes with two tracks not previously available! What people are saying: \"Shock is back with probably his best work yet\" and \"Those that enjoyed the underground will find the feel is alive and well. The sound has improved (as if that were possible) and the lyrics are even more clever than before.\" Digital Underground fans will not be disappointed with this album, but note that Shock does depart from his various persona\'s long enough to give you a glimpse of who he really is. His soul is bared, and the speakers are ready to dish it out. All you have to do... is buy it and strap in! | | 50 Cent Before I Self-Destruct CDs (2007) With DVD
Fear Of A Mixed Planet
$11.19 Released without the usual flurry of hype, Before I Self Destruct fulfills 50 Cent's contractual obligation to the Interscope label. It also doubles as a throwback album, returning the rapper to the hunger and hatred of his early mixtapes while skillfully recasting him as a wannabe upstart. That is, for the most part. The four radio-friendly bedroom numbers that conclude the album are out of place but fairly good to dime-piece beautiful, with the best being the Ne-Yo showcase "Baby by Me" ("Have a baby by me, baby/Be a millionaire"). As pleasing as these final numbers are, if you leave the room ...

| | John Hammond Best Of The Vanguard Years CD (2000)
Fear Of A Mixed Planet
$15.05 In lieu of a boxed set, the Welk Music Group (which owns the Vanguard Records library) has produced this rock-solid 23-track overview of Hammond's early recordings for Vanguard, covering highlights of the years 1963 through 1967 and his return to the label from 1976 through 1979. The tracks aren't in strict chronological order but are juxtaposed on a more general basis, and you can hear him gain confidence and maturity as this compilation chronologically moves on, from the rough-edged enthusiasm of the opener "32-20 Blues," to the closing "Guitar King." Six of the tracks are from the So Many Roads album that featured Mike Bloomfield, Charlie Musselwhite, and members of the Band in the lineup. The producers did more than remaster all of this material in 20-bit sound (though they did do that, too) -- they also raided the vaults and found a pair of unissued songs, "Ask Me Nice" and "Hellhound Blues," that they've issued here. Cut with a small, uncredited backing band, "Ask Me Nice" could have fit in easily on either ...

Fear Of A Mixed Planet
$13.15 My name is Matt Steel. My passion is music. I am a songwriter and performer for hobby and profession. I am really into fitness and exercise... and love to play all kinds of sports. I like to read, meet new people, and try new things. I consider myself a lifetime student, always trying to better myself and contribute to those around me. I love life, and consider myself very fortunate to be doing what I love every day. Thanks for taking a moment to check out my profile. I hope that you enjoy my CD. What They Are Saying About Matt Steel:** \"You beat Vince Gill, and you hung around for 3 straight New Music Showdowns before losing to Kenny Rogers. I really like the hook of your song… …know that you wowed a city of 400,000. That\'s about the same as Omaha, so we\'re not a \'small town\'.\" – Bill Hart FX 101.9 (Halifax Nova Scotia) ** \"Matt Steel is one of THE BEST up and coming Country Artists that I\'ve heard in my radio career. He\'s got a voice that\'s original, and not a carbon copy of every other artist you hear today. His personality reflects a man that loves to entertain and who loves Country Music. Not only would I buy his music, but I\'d pay money to see him perform live.\" - Justin \"CT\" Florence - - KYYK 98.3 FM (TX)** I think Matt brings a much needed young country feel to the format.\" - JB Cloud – Program Director KBCY (Abilene, TX)** ...
| | Future Kings Of Nowhere CD (2009)
Fear Of A Mixed Planet
$13.89 This is a wordy, but oh so fitting, moniker for Shayne O’Neill’s music, as The Future Kings of Nowhere perfectly captures the insouciant grandness he aspires to, with the self- deprecating twist that is the secret to his success. Actually, the secret to his success is summed up best on “I’m Still Waiting”: “Take my quick observations and my questions and my poor explanations and wrap them up into rhymes. Weave them around my mouth, suffer me up into brilliance, until no-one doesn’t know my name.”With a sharp eye for mundane details, a wry wit, and an occasional ironic twist, the Future King and his cortege of guesting alterno-royalty, take a royal trip around O’Neill’s rag- tag inner realm. Along the way there’s amends to make, specifically on “Paper Napkins”, an apology to the ex- girlfriend who’s been the foil of the singer’s many break-up songs. Perhaps “Never” describes ...
