Lance Lynke SC is a musical project started in the fall of 2006 by Nashville based singer/songwriter James Roberts ( aka. Lans Lynke SC ) Originally from Southern Illinois, some of James' earliest musical influnces were from listening to an AM radio station out of St Louis MO. , which played all types of music; from Pop, to Motown, to Rock, to Country, to Folk, to Novelty songs. James has been around long enough to remember the older adolescent girls in his hometown buying Beatles trading cards at the local bus stop/convenience store.These cards were similar to the baseball cards and bubble gum that young sports fans collected and traded. James started playing the guitar probably a bit later than most musicians.His most immediate influence at this point was The Eagles.In fact the first 15 songs that he learned to play and sing were all from the Eagles catalog( pre-J. Walsh/T.B. Schimdt as well as after they joined the group ) After playing the guitar and writing/singing for many years, and living in a variety of geographic locations,James decided that to have even a remote chance of being successful with the material, he needed to live in a city such as Austin or Nashville.
