FreemanHill are Micheal, Ian and Jenna from Cambridge in the UK. Micheal and Ian’s musical talents merged together in 2006 when Micheal joined a local rock covers band as the lead guitarist, Ian was the band’s drummer. Eventually Micheal and Ian’s desire to create original music inspired them to form FreemanHill with Jenna, Micheal’s wife, an accomplished keyboard player. Micheal already had his own portfolio of songs he’d recorded, and Ian had a pile of songs which were confined to paper. Music has always played a big part in their lives, their combined tendency towards dark and sombre lyrics together with enthusiasm for rock plus their playing and arranging skills have brought FreemanHill to the point it is today. With NOT FOR SALE FreemanHill have a first album that they are very proud of, on this album you will find everything from a simple acoustic ballad to an 8 minute rock epic with layers of guitars and keyboards. Not For Sale album
$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the radio, gave her a list of what he considered 100 essential American songs; Cash kept that list, and now she's drawn on it for this wonderfully ...
| | Them Crooked Vultures CD (2009)
Not For Sale CD music
$11.19 Often, supergroups wind up dominated by one particular personality - think Eric Clapton in Derek & the Dominos, Jack White in the Raconteurs -- which makes the egalitarianism of Them Crooked Vultures all the more remarkable. Of course, when it comes down to it, it's a group of three natural-born collaborators: John Paul Jones, the old studio pro who gravitated toward provocative partners after Led Zeppelin's demise, ...
| | Avett Brothers I And Love And You CD (2009)
Not For Sale music CDs
$11.15 North Carolina sibling duo the Avett Brothers return in 2009, fresh off a few years of building a cult following for its melodic and rootsy alt-bluegrass sound, with the subdued I AND LOVE AND YOU. The opening single and title track basks in piano-pop splendor in an odd mix of Beach Boys, Byrds, and the Band.
The Avett Brothers continue charting the same musical course as EMOTIONALISM and MIGNONETTE on major-label debut I AND LOVE AND YOU, despite the presence ...

| | Ian Lloyd In The Land Of O-De-Po CD (2008) (Import)
Not For Sale music CDs
$21.45 Best known as the singer for the early-'70s New York-based band Stories (of souful lone hit "Brother Louie") and as a backup singer for Foreigner during their heyday, Ian Lloyd issued his first solo release in 11 years in 2008, IN THE LAND OF O-DE-PO. Interestingly, the music contained on the album bears absolutely no resemblance to the two primary acts that Lloyd was associated with, but an unmistakable modern/electronic rock edge, ranging from groove to modern-day Yes. And wouldn't you know it -- Lloyd just couldn't resist re-recording "Brother Louie," which incorporates the same sounds/approaches as the aforementioned tunes.
Ian Lloyd's “O-de-PO” Ian's long awaited CD “O-de-PO” is finally finished and available to you. It contains a unique blend of styles [including sounds of STORIES/FOREIGNER and YES ]which we refer to as “PROGPOP”. Notable tracks include “Wonderful World”; “City Of Dreams”, a brand new version of "Brother Louie", and title track “O-de-PO”.Ian Lloyd's ProfileDNA or in the STARS… either way Ian Lloyd was destined to perform! Both his parents were professional musicians. It’s no wonder he was born in Seattle while his mom took time off the road for this event. “My life began ’on the road,’ so it is kind of fitting that I pass it on to my son!” Proud of the fact that his family is comprised of three generations who all performed at Carnegie Hall, he can truly say music is in their ‘blood.’ As a child he sang to Presley, Dion & the Belmonts, and Frankie Avalon & Jackie Wilson. He bought Gene Pitney and Jerry Lee Lewis records and basically just sang to everything he loved. During the 60’s Ian attended college in an upstate New York hamlet, where he played in bands on the weekend, at the same time he was also signed to United Artists and released a few singles for the label. “I grew up loving Rod Stewart & the Faces, Robert Plant, Yes and King Crimson. “The Beatles changed my life. They brought sophistication and a classical aspect to music, which I appreciated having been classically trained on both piano and violin.”Ian sang lead for Stories, formed with Michael Brown (The Left Banke/”Walk Away Renee”) in the early 70’s. Their first hit was “I’m Coming Home” followed by their number one hit “Brother Louie” and then “Mammy Blue.” With Stories he performed on a number of TV shows including “American Bandstand” and the “Midnight Special.” When Stories disbanded, Ian pursued a solo career. His well-received albums include his first self-entitled, Goosebumps, (which produced a Top 40 hit “Slip Away” written by Ric Ocasek (The Cars), Third Wave Generation, and Planet X. With a ...
