Myroslav Levytsky, is composer and lead man of Braty bluzu, which won the Grand Prix at the Chervona Ruta festival in 1993. The band\'s name is often confused in its meaning, and is translated as \"Blues Brothers\", but in fact it is a western Ukrainian expression which means to take one\'s jacket and go out on the town.Levytsky has released three albums. The first self entitled CD was released in 2000. Shortly before that he had met Canadian Lionel Lodge at the Sziget Festival in Budapest, which led to working on a project called Music Without Borders together with Lionel and his friend Rens Newland - after performing the project in Linz, Austria on June 9, 2001 - Levytsky together with Newland put down the foundation of what would be his Vienna Woods album, and released it in 2002.In 2004 Levytsky participated in the Banff Center for the Performing Arts professional development program, and as a result released this CD \"Session in Banff\" in the spring of 2005 Session In Banff Music | Category | Jazz Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7756419 | | Catalog number | 301752 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Aug 19, 2008 |

Session In Banff album
$12.09 Although the plaudits for Melody Gardot's debut album, WORRISOME HEART, were entirely justified, it sometimes seemed as if the young singer-songwriter's compelling personal story--hit by a car and severely injured at the age of 19, the aspiring ...
| | Gerald Wilson Detroit CD (2009)
Session In Banff CD music
$14.29 Detroit comprises a six-composition suite commissioned for the 2009 thirtieth anniversary Detroit International Jazz Festival, played in the studio with musicians from composer/arranger Gerald Wilson's Los Angeles home or New York City area. Curiously, there are no Motor City-based players on the disc, but the themes are based in certain locales from the industrial Midwestern City that has fallen on hard economic times but played a pivotal role in the development of Wilson's highly developed skills as a composer, arranger, and bandleader. A quite spirited and energetic music is ...

| | Michael Buble It's Time CD (2005)
Session In Banff songs
$10.05 Michael Buble's third major US release (including the mostly live COME FLY WITH ME) stays on message--this young Canadian loves the lush, swaying music of his parents' and grandparents' generations. Buble's albums, however, are much more than mere back-in-the-day exercises. The production and arranging of David Foster (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) is eclectic in a way that firmly places the tunes at the dawn of the 21st century, and, more importantly, Buble possesses the chops and sense of style to re-imagine the adult-contemporary vocal genre in a distinctive manner. In addition to standards by Gershwin and Porter, Buble embraces a variety of sounds, from Motown ...

Session In Banff music CDs
$9.59 Little Red Johnnie at Lee’s Theatrical Productions REVIEW!!!If you missed the Lil’ Red Johnnie Show at Lee’s Theatrical Productions, you just plain missed out on one heck of a show! Lil’ Red Johnnie’s Bustin Out show is one of the best shows around. The musicians were amazing with their Cajun Blues sound that left the audience wondering if there were really tin the state of Indiana or some back waters of the Delta. The bands musical transitions were seamless and gel together like homemade jam and biscuits, Lil’ Red Johnnie appeals to all ages, young and old alike. Across the full-house audience at Lee’s were fans ranging from4to 5 years old up to their 90’s. Not only did the audience cross several generation, everyone of every age seemed to be enjoying themselves. From the 5 year olds clapping their hands and swaying back and forth in their seats to those in their 20’s dancing in the aisles. There was even a 90-year-old-woman jiving in her seat and keeping time with ...

Session In Banff music CDs
$16.45 Guitar slinging since the age of eleven, Keith Kenny was first turned on to music from jamming on two chords with his Dad. These first jam sessions molded Keith\'s approach to playing guitar and songwriting which is highly influenced by improvisation and feel. Keith\'s first passion for music was discovered in classic heavy metal albums. Influences like Pantera, Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, branded his style of playing to be fast and aggressive at a young age. As his musical tastes expanded, influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Michael Hedges, CSNY, and Jimi Hendrix, changed his style of playing to be more bluesy and percussive. In his own compositions, Keith continues to seek a style of music that challenges categorization and focuses on expression. While still in High School, Keith released a single ...
