Hello, my name is Michael James Martin. I’ve been playin’ music, and writing songs, since I was in grade school. I recently won the Central Coast Talent Search Contest (Central Coast of California) held at the Fox Theater in Salinas, California and got to open up for Randy Travis, at the Monterey County Fair (2008). Up to that point I had not played in front of a crowd in ten years. Anyway, I had a great time and after the show many, many, people asked for my autograph and told me that I was better than Randy. I felt like a Country Star.! Who Knew? Well now I’m playin’ again, and so I decided to put my songs up on this CDBABY web site so that people who liked my performance could buy my music. I hope you like it! Just Lookin Music | Category | Country Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7759967 | | Catalog number | 302906 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Aug 26, 2008 |

Just Lookin album
$14.69 Taylor Swift abandons any pretense that she's a teen on her second album, FEARLESS--which isn't to say that she suddenly tarts herself up, running away from her youth in a manner that's all too familiar to many teen stars. Swift's maturation is deliberate and careful, styled after the crossover country-pop of Shania Twain and Faith Hill before they turned into divas. Despite the success of her self-titled 2006 debut, there's nothing at all diva-like about Swift on FEARLESS: she's soft-spoken and considerate, a big sister instead of a big star. Nowhere is this truer than on "Fifteen," a kind warning for a teen to watch her heart sung from the perspective of a woman who's perhaps twice that age--a sly trick for the 18-year-old Swift. There may be a hint of youthfulness to her singing but that's the only hint of girlishness here; her writing--and she had a hand in penning all 13 tracks here, with six of them bearing her solitary credit--is sharply, subtly crafted and the music is softly assured, never pushing its hooks too hard. Like many country-pop albums of the 2000s, the pop heavily outweighs the country--there aren't fiddles here, there are violins--yet the production never feels garish, a crass attempt ...

Other guests include Anne Murray and Olivia Newton-John, the only two vocalists here whose careers intersected with Elvis chronologically.

| | Johnny Cash American IV: The Man Comes Around CD (2002) Bonus DVD
Just Lookin songs
$11.99 "Give My Love To Rose" won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.
Includes a bonus DVD featuring a music video for the song "Hurt".
When the first volume of Johnny Cash's AMERICAN series appeared in 1994, it would have been difficult to predict its critical and commercial success, much less the fact that an illness-beset Cash would be turning out a powerful fourth installment of the series eight years later. Like its three predecessors, AMERICAN IV is a home-recorded, bare-bones Rick Rubin production wherein Cash tackles old classics by other writers as well as more contemporary tunes by artists from the rock world, with a smattering of his own new compositions thrown in. It's also arguably the strongest since the first volume.
Now that the novelty of hearing the Man in Black tackle tunes by the likes of Depeche Mode ("Personal Jesus") and Nine Inch Nails ("Hurt") has worn off, we can get past the gimmickry to fully appreciate the power of Cash's soul-baring interpretations. He brings an equal amount of gravitas to old country and folk tunes like "Streets of Laredo" and "Give My Love to Rose." To hear Cash's worn, husky, lived-in voice inhabit the world-
The Man Comes Around is the fourth in a series of collaborations between Johnny Cash and producer Rick Rubin. The series began with 1994's critically-acclaimed American Recordings, followed by ...
| | John Denver Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits CDs (2004) Bonus CD
Just Lookin album
$9.59 The title of this collection by the Jesus of 1970s soft pop makes no bones about its intentions. Fortunately, it delivers what it promises in spades. DEFINITIVE ALL-TIME GREATEST HITS chronicles the hit-packed career of John Denver without missing a trick. From his earliest, most folk-oriented material ("Leaving on a Jet Plane," a hit for Peter, Paul & Mary) to his more country-flavored compositions ("Take Me Home, Country Roads," the stomp-along "Thank God I'm a Country Boy"), we're given a full picture of Denver's abilities. Early-'80s duets with Placido Domingo ("Perhaps Love") and Emmylou Harris ("Wild Montana Skies") underscore both the far-reaching ripples Denver made in the music world and the full range of his own gifts. Such gentle, melodic ballads as "Annie's Song" and "Sunshine on My Shoulders" are the distilled essence of what made '70s AM radio tick, and will elicit instant nostalgia for the era when Denver's brand of quiet, graceful songcraft reigned supreme. For the hardcore fan, a bonus disc includes previously unreleased versions of some of Denver's classic tunes.
Placing the word definitive on a best-of collection is usually a panicked ...
